نا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ، نا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ، نا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ مُهَاجِرٍ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ زَيْدَ بْنَ وَهْبٍ ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا ذَرٍّ ، قَالَ: كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي سَفَرٍ، فَأَرَادَ الْمُؤَذِّنُ أَنْ يُؤَذِّنَ، فَقَالَ: أَبْرِدْ"، ثُمَّ أَرَادَ أَنْ يُؤَذِّنَ، فَقَالَ:" أَبْرِدْ"، قَالَ شُعْبَةُ: حَتَّى سَاوَى الظِّلُّ التُّلُولَ، ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" إِنَّ شِدَّةَ الْحَرِّ مِنْ فَيْحِ جَهَنَّمَ، فَأَبْرِدُوا بِالصَّلاةِ"""

On the authority of Ahmad ibn Sinan al-Wasiti, on the authority of Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi, on the authority of Shu`bah, on the authority of Muhajir Abi al-Hassan, who said: I heard Zayd ibn Wahb, He said: I heard Abu Dharr, he said: We were with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, on a journey, and the muezzin wanted to give the call to prayer, so he said: “Cool down,” then He wanted to give the call to prayer, so he said: “It gets colder.” Shu’bah said: until the shadow reached the hills. Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “The intensity of the heat From the stench of Hell, cool them down with prayer.”

سیدنا ابوذر رضی اللہ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ ہم ایک سفر میں نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ تھے تو مؤذن نے اذان کہنے کا ارادہ کیا تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”ٹھنڈا کرو“ پھر اُس نے اذان دینی چاہی تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”(نماز کو) ٹھنڈا کرو“ شعبہ کہتے ہیں، حتیٰ کہ سایہ ٹیلوں کے برابر ہوگیا پھر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”بیشک گرمی کی شدت جہنّم کی بھاپ سے ہے تو نماز (ظہر) کو ٹھنڈا کر کے پڑھا کرو۔“
