Al-Hussein bin Issa Al-Bistami narrates, Anas bin Iyadh narrates, on the authority of Kathir bin Zaid, on the authority of Al-Walid bin Rabah, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, that The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “When Satan hears the call to prayer, he turns away, and has a fart so that he does not hear it.”

سیدنا ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جب شیطان نماز کے لیے اذان سنتا ہے تو پاد مارتا ہوا پیٹھ پھیر کربھا گتا ہے تا کہ اذان نہ سن پائے۔“

It is narrated by Yusuf bin Musa, by Jarir, and by Abu Muawiyah, and the wording is by Jarir, on the authority of Al-A’mash, on the authority of Abu Sufyan, on the authority of Jabir, who said: I heard the Messenger God, may God bless him and grant him peace, says: “When Satan hears the call to prayer, he goes away until he finds the place of the spirit.” Suleiman said: I asked him about Al-Ruha’, and he said: She is from Medina, thirty-six miles away.

سیدنا جابر رضی اللہ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا: ”شیطان جب نماز کے لئے اذان سنتا ہے تو چلا جاتا ہے حتیٰ کہ مقام روحاء پر پہنچ جاتا ہے“ سلیمان کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے (استاد محترم ابوسفیان سے) پوچھا کہ روحاء کہاں ہے؟ تو اُنہوں نے فرمایا کہ وہ مدینہ منوّرہ سے چھتیس میل کے فاصلے پر ہے۔
