حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْجَبَّارِ بْنُ الْعَلاءِ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ طَاوُسٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ: أُمِرَ النَّاسَ أَنْ يَكُونَ آخِرُ عَهْدِهِمْ بِالْبَيْتِ"""

Narrated to us 'Abd al-Jabbar ibn al-'Ala', narrated to us Sufyan, on the authority of Ibn Tawus, from his father, from Ibn 'Abbas (RA), who said: "The people were commanded that their last act should be (performing Tawaf) of the House." **CHAPTER:**

حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ الأَحْوَلِ ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، كَانَ النَّاسُ يَنْصَرِفُونَ كُلَّ وَجْهٍ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: لا يَنْفِرْ أَحَدُكُمْ حَتَّى يَكُونَ آخِرُ عَهْدِهِ بِالْبَيْتِ"""

EnglishUnverified translation

Narrated to us by Yunus ibn Abd al-A'la, who informed us that Sufyan narrated from Sulayman al-Ahwal, who narrated from Tawus, who narrated from Ibn Abbas (RA): The people would depart in every direction. So the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Let none of you depart until his last covenant is with the House (the Ka'bah)."
