Chapters 851–875

Chapter: The merit of performing Hajj on foot from Makkah, if the report is authentic, for there is doubt in my heart regarding this Isa ibn Sawadah

Narrated to us 'Ali ibn Sa'id ibn Masruq al-Kindi, who said: 'Isa ibn Sawadah narrated to us, on the authority of Isma'il ibn Abi Khalid, from Zadhan, who said: Ibn 'Abbas (RA) fell severely ill, so he called his children and gathered them, then said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: 'Whoever performs Hajj from Makkah on foot until he returns to Makkah, Allah writes for him seven hundred good deeds for every step, and each good deed is like the good deeds of the Haram (the Sacred Mosque).' It was said to him: 'What are the good deeds of the Haram?' He said: 'For every good deed, one hundred thousand thousand (i.e., one hundred million) good deeds.'" **CHAPTER:**
