Sahih

** Narrated to us Muhammad ibn Yahya, narrated to us 'Abd al-Razzaq, who informed us Ja'far ibn Sulayman al-Dubay'i, on the authority of Thabit al-Bunani, on the authority of Anas ibn Malik (RA), who said: "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) entered Makkah to perform 'Umrah before its conquest, and Ibn Rawahah was walking ahead of him, reciting: 'Clear the way, O sons of the disbelievers, Today we will strike you with the revelation, A strike that will remove the heads from their resting places, And distract the beloved from his beloved.' 'Umar (RA) said: 'O Ibn Rawahah! In the sacred precincts of Allah, and before the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), you recite such poetry!' The Prophet (ﷺ) said: 'Leave him, O Umar. By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, his words are more hurtful to them than the striking of arrows.'"
