حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ صُهَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ: نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الرِّجَالَ عَنِ التَّزَعْفُرِ" ، قَالَ حَمَّادٌ: يَعْنِي الْخَلُوقَ"

EnglishUnverified translation

** Narrated to us Ahmad ibn 'Abdah, who said: Hamam ibn Zayd informed us, from 'Abd al-'Aziz ibn Suhayb, from Anas ibn Malik (RA), who said: "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade men from using *taz'afur*." Hamam said: "He means *khuluq* (a type of perfume)."

احمد بن عبدہ نے ہمیں بتایا، حماد بن زید نے ہمیں بتایا، عبدالعزیز بن صہیب سے، انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ سے، انہوں نے کہا: "رسول اللہ ﷺ نے مردوں کو تزعفر (خوشبو لگانے) سے روکا۔" حماد نے کہا: "اس کا مطلب خلوق (ایک قسم کی خوشبو) ہے۔""
