سیدنا ابوہریرہ ہ رضی اللہ عنہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”آدمی کی جماعت کے ساتھ نماز کی ادائیگی اُس کے لئے اکیلے نماز پڑھنے سے بیس سے زیادہ درجے افضل ہے۔“ امام ابوبکر رحمه الله فرماتے ہیں کہ لفظ ”بضع“ مجمل ہے۔ کیونکہ ”بضع“ کا اطلاق تین سے لیکر دس تک کے عدد پر ہوتا ہے۔ اور نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے سیدنا ابن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ کی روایت میں بیان فرمایا کہ نماز باجماعت پچیس گنا افضل ہے۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے یہ نہیں فرمایا کہ پچیس گنا سے زیادہ افضل نہیں ہوسکتی - اور آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کی روایت میں بتایا کہ نماز باجماعت ستائیس درجے افضل ہوتی ہے ـ
