نَا أَبُو مُوسَى ، نَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، نَا إِسْرَائِيلُ ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ ، عَنْ إِيَاسِ بْنِ أَبِي رَمْلَةَ ، أَنَّهُ شَهِدَ مُعَاوِيَةَ ، وَسَأَلَ زَيْدَ بْنَ أَرْقَمَ : شَهِدْتَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عِيدَيْنِ اجْتَمَعَا فِي يَوْمٍ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، صَلَّى الْعِيدَ فِي أَوَّلِ النَّهَارِ، ثُمَّ رَخَّصَ فِي الْجُمُعَةِ، فَقَالَ: مَنْ شَاءَ أَنْ يَجْمَعَ فَلْيَجْمَعْ"""

On the authority of Abu Musa, on the authority of Abd al-Rahman, on the authority of Israel, on the authority of Uthman ibn al-Mughirah, on the authority of Iyas ibn Abi Ramla, that he witnessed Muawiyah, Zaid bin Arqam asked: Did you witness with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, two Eids that came together on one day? He said: Yes, he prayed the Eid prayer at the beginning of the day, then he made a concession on Friday, and said: “Whoever wants to gather, let him gather.”

جناب ایاس بن ابی رملہ سے روایت ہے کہ وہ حضرت معاویہ کے پاس حاضر تھے تو اُنہوں نے سیدنا زید بن ارقم رضی اللہ عنہ سے پوچھا، تم رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ ایک ہی دن میں دو عیدوں (عید اور جمعہ) میں شریک ہوئے ہو؟ اُنہوں نے فرمایا کہ جی ہاں۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے دن کے شروع میں عید کی نماز پڑھائی پھر آپ نے نماز جمعہ کی رخصت دے دی اور فرمایا: ”جو پڑھنا چاہے وہ پڑھ لے۔“
