نا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ الضَّبِّيُّ ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، نا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، أَنَّ أَبَا قِلابَةَ ، حَدَّثَهُ، أَنَّ أَبَا الْمَلِيحِ الْهُذَلِيَّ ، حَدَّثَهُ، قَالَ: كُنَّا مَعَ بُرَيْدَةَ الأَسْلَمِيِّ فِي غَزْوَةٍ فِي يَوْمِ غَيْمٍ، فَقَالَ: بَكِّرُوا بِالصَّلاةِ، فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: مَنْ تَرَكَ صَلاةَ الْعَصْرِ أُحْبِطَ عَمَلُهُ" . نا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ حُرَيْثٍ أَبُو عَمَّارٍ ، نا النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ صَاحِبِ الدَّسْتُوَائِيِّ، عَنْ يَحْيَى ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلابَةَ : بِهَذَا مِثْلَهُ، غَيْرُ أَنَّهُ قَالَ:" فَقَدْ حَبِطَ عَمَلُهُ"""

Ahmad bin Abdah al-Dhabi told us, Abu Dawud told us, Hisham told us, on the authority of Yahya bin Abi Kathir, that Abu Qalaba told him, that Abu Al-Malih Al-Hudhali told him, he said: We were with Buraydah Al-Aslami on a campaign on a cloudy day, and he said: Arrive early to pray, for the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: May God bless him and grant him peace. He said: “Whoever abandons the afternoon prayer, his work will be nullified.” Al-Hussein bin Harith Abu Ammar narrated to us, Al-Nadr bin Shumail narrated to us, on the authority of Hisham, the companion of Al-Dastawai, on the authority of Yahya, on the authority of Abu Qalabah: With this Like him, except that he said: “His work has been vain.”

حضرت ابوملیح ہذلی رحمہ اللہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ ہم سیدنا بریدہ اسلمی رضی اللہ عنہ کے ساتھ ایک ابر آلود دن میں جہاد میں تھے تو اُنہوں نے فرمایا کہ نماز (عصر) کو جلدی ادا کرلو، کیونکہ رسول رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جس نے نماز عصر ترک کی اُس کے عمل ضائع کردئیے جاتے ہیں۔“ اما م صاحب حسین بن حریت کی سند مذکورہ بالا کی طرح روایت بیان کرتے ہیں کہ اس میں ان الفاظ کا فرق ہے۔ «فقد حبظ عمله» ”تو اس کے عمل رائیگاں گئے۔“
