It is narrated by Issa bin Ibrahim Al-Ghafiqi Al-Misri, on the authority of Abdullah bin Wahb, on the authority of Makhramah, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Aamir bin Saad bin Abi Waqqas, he said: I heard Saad and some of the Companions of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, saying: There were two men who were brothers during the era of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. May God bless him and grant him peace, and one of them was better than the other, so the one who was the better of them died, then the other lived after him for forty nights and then died. Then it was mentioned to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, the superiority of the first over the other, and he said: “Did he not pray?” They said: Yes, O Messenger of God, and there was no problem. With it, the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “How do you know what his prayer reached? Indeed, the example of prayer is like a river flowing at the door of a man who is immersed in it.” Fresh, he breaks into it five times every day, and you do not see what dirt remains of him. You do not know what his prayer was achieved with.”

Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Maymoon narrated to us in Alexandria, narrated to us Al-Walid, meaning Ibn Muslim, on the authority of Al-Awza’i, he said: Abu Ammar narrated to me, and he is Shaddad bin Abdullah, Abu Umamah told us, he said: A man came to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and said: O Messenger of God, I have struck a punishment. So appoint him over me? So he turned away from him, and the prayer was performed, and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, prayed. When he greeted him, he said: O Messenger of God, I have committed a punishment, so fulfill it. Ali. He said: Did you perform ablution when you came? He said: Yes. He said: Go, for God has pardoned you.
