نا بُنْدَارٌ ، نا يَحْيَى ، نا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ وَهُوَ الْحَدَّادُ ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ دِينَارٍ مَوْلَى أُمِّ قَيْسٍ بِنْتِ مِحْصَنٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ قَيْسٍ بِنْتِ مِحْصَنٍ ، قَالَتْ: سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ دَمِ الْحَيْضِ يُصِيبُ الثَّوْبَ، فَقَالَ: اغْسِلِيهِ بِالْمَاءِ وَالسِّدْرِ، وَحُكِّيهِ بِضِلْعٍ"""

سیدہ اُم قیس بنت محصن رضی اللہ عنہا بیان کرتی ہیں کہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے کپڑے کو لگنے والے حیض کے خون کے متعلق پوچھا، تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اُسے پانی اور بیری (کے پتّوں) سے دھولو اور اُسے لکڑی سے کُھرچ ڈالو۔“
