Narrated to us by Al-Abbas ibn al-Jabbar, on the authority of Abdullah ibn Abi Bakr, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Abu al-Baddah ibn Adi, on the authority of his father: "The Prophet (ﷺ) granted a concession to the shepherds (or those tending livestock) that they may perform the stoning (of the Jamarat) on one day and skip it on another day."

Narrated to us Ya'qub ibn Ibrahim, who narrated to us Ibn Ulayyah, who narrated to us Rawh ibn al-Qasim, from Abdullah ibn Abi Bakr, from his father Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (RA), from Abu al-Baddah ibn Adi, from his father, that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) granted a concession to shepherds that they may stone the Jamarat (the three stone pillars at Mina, a core ritual of the Hajj pilgrimage) one day, and tend to their flocks one day in its place. Commentary: This was a specific concession for shepherds responsible for guarding livestock during the Hajj period, who could not leave their flocks unattended to perform the daily Rami (stoning) ritual. It allowed them to fulfill their religious obligation of stoning the Jamarat on one of the designated ritual days while tending to their flocks on the alternate day, with no sin incurred for the delay.
