نا أَبُو هَاشِمٍ زِيَادُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ ، نا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي غَنِيَّةَ ، نا أَبِي ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُخَيْمِرَةَ ، عَنْ شُرَيْحِ بْنِ هَانِي ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ: رَخَّصَ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي ثَلاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ لِلْمُسَافِرِ، وَيَوْمٍ وَلَيْلَةٍ لِلْحَاضِرِ" يَعْنِي: فِي الْمَسْحِ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ"

From Abu Hashem Ziyad bin Ayyub, from Yahya bin Abdul-Malik bin Humaid bin Abi Ghaniya, from my father, on the authority of Al-Hakam, on the authority of Al-Qasim bin Mukhaymira, on the authority of Shurayh ibn Hani, on the authority of Ali, who said: “The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, granted us permission for three days for the traveler, and one day... And a night for the present” meaning: in wiping over the socks.
