He said: And the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: I strike for you the example of two men who set out in a desert at night; one said: I do not wish to sleep until I cross it, and the other said: I sleep a nap, then rise and cross it. Both reached the destination in the morning.

From al-Thawri, from al-A'mash, from Abu Sufyan, from Jabir ibn 'Abd Allah, he said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: When one of you prostrates, let him be balanced, and not spread his forearms as a dog spreads them.

He said: And the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: Whoever among you fears he will not wake at the end of the night, let him perform witr at the beginning of the night, and whoever among you hopes to wake at the end of the night, let him perform witr at the end of the night, for the recitation at the end of the night is attended, and that is better.
