On the authority of Ahmad ibn Yahya, on the authority of Abu Nu`aym, on the authority of Omar ibn Dhar, on the authority of Mujahid, that Abu Hurairah used to say: God, there is no god but It is, if I were to support my liver on the ground due to hunger, and if I were to drag a stone on my stomach due to hunger, and I sat on their way one day From which they come out, so Abu Bakr passed by, and I asked him about a verse from the Book of God. I only asked him to satisfy me, so he passed by and did not do so, then Omar passed by me, and I asked him about a verse from the Book of God. I only asked him to satisfy me, but he passed by and did not do so. Then Abu al-Qasim, may God bless him and grant him peace, passed by me. Peace be upon him. He smiled when he saw me and recognized what was on my face. Then he said: “Abu Hurr.” I said: At your service, O Messenger of God. He said: “The truth,” and he went on. So I followed him, and he entered. He asked for permission, so he gave me permission. Then he entered and found milk in a cup. He said: “Where did this milk come from?” They said: Give it to him as a gift. For you is so-and-so or so-and-so. He said: “Abu Hurr.” I said: At your command, O Messenger of God. He said: “Go to the people of Suffah and call them for me.” He said: The people of Suffah are the guests of Islam. They do not seek refuge with family, money, or anyone. If he receives charity, he sends it to them, and does not take it as a gift. Some of it, and when a gift came to him, he sent it to them, and he took some of it and shared it with them. That upset me, and I said: What is this milk in? People of Suffa? ! I had the right to have a drink of this milk to strengthen myself, so when my command came, I would give it to them, as long as it was possible that they would inform me. Who is this milk? ! There was no need to obey God and His Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, so I went to them, and I called them, and they came, and they asked for permission, and he gave permission. To them, and they took their seats from the house. He said: “O Abu Hurr.” I said: At your command, O Messenger of God. He said: “Take it and give it to them.” He said: So I took the cup and gave it to the man, so he drank until he had enough of it, then he returned the cup to me, so I gave it to the man and he drank until he had enough, then He would return the cup to me, and he would drink until he had quenched his thirst, then he would return the cup to me, until I reached the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and the people had narrated it. All of them, so he took the cup and placed it on his hand. He looked at me and smiled, and said: “Abu Hurr.” I said: At your service, O Messenger of God. He said: You and I remain.” I said: You have spoken the truth, O Messenger of God. He said: “Sit down and drink.” So I sat down and drank. He said: “Drink,” so I drank, but I did not He kept saying, “Drink,” until I said, “No.” By the One who has sent you with the truth, I cannot find a way for him. He said, “Show me,” so I gave him the cup, and he thanked God. He said the name and drank the waste (Peace Be Upon Him)
