Ref. فَيَقُولُ : إِنِّي لَسْتُ هُنَاكُمْ ، وَيَذْكُرُ خَطِيئَتَهُ الَّتِي أَصَابَ مِنْ سُؤَالِهِ رَبَّهُ مَا لَيْسَ لَهُ بِهِ عِلْمٌ ، وَلَكِنِ ائْتُوا إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ خَلِيلُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، فَيَأْتُونَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ
َأخْبَرَنَا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا آدَمُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : يَجْمَعُ اللَّهُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

Al-Rabīʿ ibn Muḥammad ibn ʿĪsā informed us, saying: Ādam narrated to us, saying: Shaybān Abū Muʿāwiyah narrated to us, saying: Qatādah narrated to us, saying: I heard Anas ibn Mālik say: The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said:\n\n\Allāh will gather the believers on the Day of Resurrection"," and they would say: 'If only we could seek intercession from our Lord so that He might give us relief from our place here.' They will set out until they come to Ādam"," peace be upon him"," and say: 'O Ādam"," you are the father of mankind. Allāh created you with His own Hand"," breathed into you of His Spirit"," prostrated the angels before you"," and taught you the names of all things. Intercede for us with your Lord so that He may give us relief from our place here.' He will say: 'I am not fit for that","' and he will mention his sin which he committed by eating from the tree. 'But go to Nūḥ"," peace be upon him"," for he is the first messenger Allāh sent.' They will come to Nūḥ"," and he will say: 'I am not fit for that","' and he will mention his sin which he committed by asking his Lord that of which he had no knowledge. 'But go to Ibrāhīm"," peace be upon him"," the Khalīl of al-Raḥmān.' They will come to Ibrāhīm"," and he will say: 'I am not fit for that","' and he will mention his three lies: his saying"," 'Indeed"," I am sick' (Q 37:89); his saying"," 'Rather"," this one"," the greatest of them"," did it' (Q 21:63); and his saying to Sārah when he came before the tyrant: 'Tell him that I am your brother"," for I shall tell him that you are my sister"," for we are siblings in the Book of Allāh"," and there is no other believing man or woman on earth besides us.' 'But go to Mūsā"," peace be upon him"," the one to whom Allāh spoke and whom He gave the Tawrāh.' They will come to Mūsā"," peace be upon him"," and he will say: 'I am not fit for that","' and he will mention his sin which he committed by killing the man. 'But go to ʿĪsā"," peace be upon him"," the servant and messenger of Allāh"," a Word from Allāh and a Spirit from Him.' They will come to ʿĪsā"," and he will say: 'I am not fit for that. But go to Muḥammad ﷺ"," a servant whose past and future sins Allāh has forgiven.'\"\n\nThe Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: \"They will come to me"," and I will seek permission from my Lord"," and permission will be granted me to approach Him. When I see my Lord"," I will fall in prostration"," and He will leave me as long as He wills. Then He will say to me: 'Raise your head"," O Muḥammad. Speak and you will be heard; intercede and your intercession will be accepted; ask and you will be given.' I will raise my head and praise my Lord with praises He teaches me. Then I will intercede"," and He will set a limit for me"," and I will bring them out of the Fire and admit them into Paradise. Then I will return to my Lord a second time and fall in prostrate"," and He will say to me the like of that. I will raise my head"," and He will set a limit for me"," and I will bring them out of the Fire and admit them into Paradise. Then I will return to my Lord a third time and fall in prostrate for Him"," and He will say to me the like of that. I will raise my head"," and He will set a limit for me"," and I will bring them out of the Fire. Then I will return a fourth time and say: 'O my Lord"," there remains in the Fire only those whom the Qurʾān has confined.' He will say: 'Yes"," and upon whom eternity has become binding.'\"\n\nQatādah said: \"And that is the Maqām Maḥmūd (the Praiseworthy Station).\"""

َأخْبَرَنَا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا آدَمُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَجْمَعُ اللَّهُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ , فَيَقُولُونَ : لَوِ اسْتَشْفَعْنَا عَلَى رَبِّنَا حَتَّى يُرِيحَنَا مِنْ مَكَانِنَا هَذَا ، فَيَنْطَلِقُونَ حَتَّى يَأْتُوا آدَمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ , فَيَقُولُونَ : يَا آدَمُ ، أَنْتَ أَبُو النَّاسِ ، خَلَقَكَ اللَّهُ بِيَدِهِ ، وَنَفَخَ فِيكَ مِنْ رُوحِهِ ، وَأَسْجَدَ لَكَ مَلائِكَتَهُ ، وَعَلَّمَكَ أَسْمَاءَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ ، فَاشْفَعْ لَنَا عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ حَتَّى يُرِيحَنَا مِنْ مَكَانِنَا هَذَا ، فَيَقُولُ : إِنِّي لَسْتُ هُنَاكُمْ ، وَيَذْكُرُ خَطِيئَتَهُ الَّتِي أَصَابَ مِنْ أَكَلِ الشَّجَرَةِ ، وَلَكِنِ ائْتُوا نُوحًا عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ ، فَإِنَّهُ أَوَّلُ رَسُولٍ بَعَثَهُ اللَّهُ ، فَيَأْتُونَ نُوحًا , فَيَقُولُ : إِنِّي لَسْتُ هُنَاكُمْ ، وَيَذْكُرُ خَطِيئَتَهُ الَّتِي أَصَابَ مِنْ سُؤَالِهِ رَبَّهُ مَا لَيْسَ لَهُ بِهِ عِلْمٌ ، وَلَكِنِ ائْتُوا إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ خَلِيلُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، فَيَأْتُونَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ , فَيَقُولُ : إِنِّي لَسْتُ هُنَاكُمْ ، وَيَذْكُرُ كَذِبَاتِهِ الثَّلاثَ , قَوْلَهُ : إِنِّي سَقِيمٌ ، وَقَوْلَهُ : بَلْ فَعَلَهُ كَبِيرُهُمْ هَذَا ، وَقَوْلَهُ لِسَارَةَ حِينَ أَتَى عَلَى الْجَبَّارِ : أَخْبِرِي أَنِّي أَخُوكِ ، فَإِنِّي سَأُخْبِرُ أَنَا أَنَّكِ أُخْتِي ، فَإِنَّا أَخَوَانِ فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ ، لَيْسَ فِي الأَرْضِ مُؤْمِنٌ وَلا مُؤْمِنَةٌ غَيْرُنَا ، وَلَكِنِ ائْتُوا مُوسَى عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ الَّذِي كَلَّمَهُ اللَّهُ وَأَعْطَاهُ التَّوْرَاةَ ، فَيَأْتُونَ مُوسَى عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ , فَيَقُولُ : إِنِّي لَسْتُ هُنَاكُمْ ، وَيَذْكُرُ خَطِيئَتَهُ الَّتِي أَصَابَ مِنْ قَتْلِ الرَّجُلِ ، وَلَكِنِ ائْتُوا عِيسَى عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولَهُ مِنْ كَلِمَةِ اللَّهِ وَرُوحِهِ . فَيَأْتُونَ عِيسَى , فَيَقُولُ : إِنِّي لَسْتُ هُنَاكُمْ ، وَلَكِنِ ائْتُوا مُحَمَّدًا صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، عَبْدًا غَفَرَ اللَّهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ وَمَا تَأَخَّرَ ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : فَيَأْتُونِي , فَأَسْتَأْذِنُ عَلَى رَبِّي , فَيُؤْذَنُ لِي عَلَيْهِ ، فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُ رَبِّي وَقَعْتُ سَاجِدًا ، فَيَدَعُنِي مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ أَنْ يَدَعَنِي ، ثُمَّ يَقُولُ لِي : ارْفَعْ رَأْسَكَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ ، قُلْ تُسْمَعْ ، وَاشْفَعْ تُشَفَّعْ ، وَسَلْ تُعْطَهْ . فَأَرْفَعُ رَأْسِي فَأَحْمَدُ رَبِّي بِحَمْدِ يُعَلُّمُنِيهِ ، ثُمَّ أَشْفَعُ , فَيَحُدُّ لِي حَدًّا ، فَأُخْرِجُهُ مِنَ النَّارِ وَأُدْخِلُهُ الْجَنَّةَ ، ثُمَّ أَعُودُ إِلَى رَبِّي الثَّانِيَةَ ، فَأَخِرُّ سَاجِدًا ، فَيَقُولُ لِي مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ ، فَأَرْفَعُ رَأْسِي فَيَحُدُّ لِي حَدًّا ، فَأُخْرِجُهُ مِنَ النَّارِ وَأُدْخِلُهُ الْجَنَّةَ ، ثُمَّ أَعُودُ إِلَى رَبِّي الثَّالِثَةَ ، فَأَخِرُّ لَهُ سَاجِدًا , فَيَقُولُ : لِي مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ ، فَأَرْفَعُ رَأْسِي ، فَيَجْعَلُ لِي حَدًّا فَأُخْرِجُهُ مِنَ النَّارِ ، ثُمَّ أَعُودُ الرَّابِعَةَ ، فَأَقُولُ : يَا رَبِّ ، مَا بَقِيَ فِي النَّارِ إِلا مَنْ حَبَسَهُ الْقُرْآنُ ، فَيَقُولُ : أَيْ وَجَبَ عَلَيْهِ الْخُلُودُ "، قَالَ قَتَادَةُ : وَهُوَ الْمَقَامُ الْمَحْمُودُ
