Amr bin Ali told us, he said: Yazid told us, meaning Ibn Zuray’, he said: Dawud told us, on the authority of Ash-Sha’bi, on the authority of Masruq, he said: I was with Aisha, and she said: O Abu Aisha, there are three people who speak about one of them has committed the greatest libel against God: “Whoever claims that Muhammad saw His Lord has certainly magnified the lie against God. He said: I was reclining and sat up, so I said: O Mother of the Believers, did not God say, “And He saw it on the horizon” Al-Mubin, and he saw it revealed another time, and she said: I was the first to ask about this verse, the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. He said: “Only.” That is Gabriel, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him. I have never seen him in the form in which he was created except these two times. I saw him descending from the sky, motionless. The greatness of His creation is that which is between the heaven and the earth.” Then she said: Have you not listened to the words of God, Blessed and Most High: “Sights do not perceive Him while He perceives The All-Seeing, and He is the Gentle, the All-Aware. Have you not listened to the words of God: And it is not for a human being that God should speak to him except by revelation or from behind a veil. Or will He send a messenger and reveal by His permission whatever He pleases? And whoever claims that Muhammad concealed anything from the Book of God has committed the greatest libel against God, by God. He says: O Messenger, convey what has been sent down to you from your Lord, and whoever claims that he knows what will happen tomorrow has committed the greatest lie against God. And God says: Say, “No one in the heavens and earth knows the unseen except God.” (Peace Be Upon Him)

عمرو بن علی نے ہمیں بتایا، انہوں نے کہا: یزید نے ہمیں بتایا، یعنی ابن زریع، انہوں نے کہا: داؤد نے ہمیں بتایا، شعبی کی روایات پر، مسروق کی روایات پر، انہوں نے کہا: میں عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کے پاس تھا، تو انہوں نے کہا: یا ابا عائشہ، تین باتیں ہیں، جس نے ان میں سے ایک بات بولی، اس نے اللہ پر بڑا جھوٹ باندھا: "جس نے دعویٰ کیا کہ محمد ﷺ نے اپنے رب کو دیکھا، اس نے اللہ پر بڑا جھوٹ باندھا۔" مسروق نے کہا: میں ٹیک لگا کر بیٹھا تھا، تو میں بیٹھ گیا، اور کہا: یا ماں مؤمنین، کیا اللہ نے نہیں کہا: "اور اس نے اسے افق مبین میں دیکھا" اور دوسری بار وحی نازل ہوئی میں اسے دیکھا، تو انہوں نے کہا: میں اس آیت کے بارے میں پوچھنے والی پہلی تھی، اللہ کے رسول ﷺ نے فرمایا: "وہ صرف جبريل تھے، اللہ کی صلوات و سلام ان پر ہو، میں نے انہیں اس صورت میں کبھی نہیں دیکھا جس میں وہ پیدا کیے گئے تھے، سواۓ ان دو دفعوں کے، میں نے انہیں آسمان سے اترتے ہوئے دیکھا، بے حرکت، ان کی خلقت کی عظمت یہ ہے جو آسمان اور زمین کے درمیان ہے۔" پھر انہوں نے کہا: کیا تم نے اللہ تبارک وتعالیٰ کے الفاظ نہیں سنے: "نظریں اسے نہیں پکڑ سکتیں، حالانکہ وہ نظروں کو پکڑتا ہے، اور وہ لطیف خبیر ہے۔" کیا تم نے اللہ کے الفاظ نہیں سنے: "اور یہ انسان کے لئے موزوں نہیں کہ اللہ اس سے بات کرے، سواۓ وحی کے یا پردے کے پیچھے سے، یا کوئی رسول بھیجے تو اس کی اجازت سے جو چاہے وحی کرے۔" اور جس نے دعویٰ کیا کہ محمد ﷺ نے اللہ کی کتاب سے کچھ چھپایا، اس نے اللہ پر بڑا جھوٹ باندھا، اللہ کی قسم، وہ فرماتے ہیں: "اے رسول، جو کچھ تمہارے رب کی طرف سے تم پر نازل ہوا ہے پہنچا دو۔" اور جس نے دعویٰ کیا کہ وہ جانتا ہے کہ کل کیا ہوگا، اس نے اللہ پر بڑا جھوٹ باندھا۔ اور اللہ فرماتے ہیں: "کہو: آسمانوں اور زمین میں کوئی غیب نہیں جانتا سواۓ اللہ کے۔" ﷺ
