Muhammad bin Abdul-Ala told us in his hadith, on the authority of Mu’tamar bin Sulaiman, he said: I heard Awf, on the authority of Zurara, on the authority of Ibn Abbas, he said The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace: “On the night I was taken on a captivity, and then in the morning in Mecca, he said: I have cut off my affairs and I know that the people are my liars.” He said: So I sat isolated and sad, then the enemy of God, Abu Jahl, passed by me, and he came until he sat next to him, and he said to him like a mocker: Was there anything? He said: “Yes.” He said: What is it? He said: “I will be taken on a journey tonight.” He said: Where? He said: “To the Holy House.” He said: Then you were among us in the morning? He said: “Yes.” He said: He did not see that he was telling him a liar for fear that he would deny the hadith if he called his people for him. He said: If I call your people to you Do you talk to them? He said: “Yes.” Abu Jahl said: The people of Banu Ka’b bin Luayy, come. Then the gatherings broke up and they came and sat down to them. He said: Tell your people what you told me. The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “I will be taken on the journey tonight.” They said: Where to? He said: “To the Holy House.” He said: They said: Then you spent the morning among us? He said: “Yes.” Among the people who believed him, and among those who put his hand on his head and marveled at lying, said: And among the people is he who travels to that. The country, and he saw the mosque. He said: They said: Can you grant us the mosque? Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “So I went and addressed them, and I continued to describe them until some of the epithet became confused for me.” He said: “Then he came.” “In the mosque until it was established.” He said: “So I called the mosque while I was looking at it.” He said: There was a hadith with this that I forgot as well. He said The people: As for the epithet, it is correct (Peace Be Upon Him)

Ya'qub ibn Ibrahim narrated to us — Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us — Abu Hayyan narrated to me — Abu Zur'a ibn 'Amr ibn Jarir narrated to me, from Abu Huraira, who said: "The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was brought meat one day. The foreleg was raised to him, and it was something he liked, so he bit into it. Then he said: I am the master of mankind on the Day of Resurrection. Do you know why that is? Allah will gather the first and the last upon a single plain. The caller will make them hear, and the sight will reach them. The sun will draw near, and the people will be afflicted by distress and anguish that they cannot bear or endure. Some people will say to one another: Do you not see what you are in? Do you not see what has befallen you? Will you not look for someone to intercede for you with your Lord? Some people will say to one another: Your father Adam! They will come to Adam and say: O Adam, you are the father of mankind. Allah created you with His own Hand, and breathed into you of His Spirit, and commanded the angels, and they prostrated to you. Intercede for us with your Lord. Do you not see what we are in? Do you not see what has befallen us? Adam, upon him be peace, will say to them: Indeed, my Lord has become angry today with an anger like which He has never been angry before, nor will He ever be angry again. And indeed, He forbade me from the tree, and I disobeyed Him. Myself, myself! Go to someone else. Go to Nuh! They will come to Nuh and say: O Nuh, you are the first messenger to the people of the earth, and Allah named you a grateful slave. Intercede for us with your Lord. Do you not see what we are in? Do you not see what has befallen us? Nuh will say: Indeed, my Lord has become angry today with an anger like which He has never been angry before, nor will He ever be angry again. And indeed, I had a supplication against my people. Myself, myself, myself, myself! Go to someone else. Go to Ibrahim! They will come to Ibrahim and say: O Ibrahim, you are the prophet of Allah and His intimate friend from among the people of the earth. Intercede for us with your Lord. Do you not see what we are in? Do you not see what has befallen us? Ibrahim will say: Indeed, my Lord has become angry today with an anger like which He has never been angry before, nor will He ever be angry again. Myself, myself, myself, myself! Go to someone else. Go to Musa! They will come to Musa and say: O Musa, Allah has favored you with His message and His speech over mankind. Intercede for us with your Lord. Do you not see what we are in? Do you not see what has befallen us? Musa will say: Indeed, my Lord has become angry today with an anger like which He has never been angry before, nor will He ever be angry again. And indeed, I killed a soul that I was not commanded to kill. Myself, myself, myself, myself! Go to someone else. Go to 'Isa! They will come to 'Isa and say: O 'Isa, you are the Spirit of Allah and a Word from Him that He cast upon Maryam, and a Spirit from Him. You spoke to the people from the cradle. Intercede for us with your Lord. Do you not see what we are in? Do you not see what has befallen us? 'Isa will say: Indeed, my Lord has become angry today with an anger like which He has never been angry before, nor will He ever be angry again. And he did not mention any sin for him. Myself, myself, myself, myself! Go to someone else. Go to Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and upon them all. They will come and say: O Muhammad, you are the Messenger of Allah, the Seal of the Prophets. Allah has forgiven you your sins — what has passed of them and what is to come. Intercede for us with your Lord. Do you not see what we are in? Do you not see what has befallen us? I will stand and come beneath the Throne, and I will fall prostrating to my Lord. Allah will open for me and inspire me with some of His praises and beautiful glorification of Him that He has not opened for anyone before me. It will be said: O Muhammad, raise your head. Ask, and you shall be given. Intercede, and your intercession shall be granted. I will raise my head and say: My Ummah, my Ummah, O Lord! My Ummah, O Lord! It will be said: O Muhammad, admit from your Ummah those against whom there is no reckoning, through the right-hand gate. And they are the partners of the people in what is besides that of the gates. By the One in whose Hand is my soul, what is between two leaves of the gates of Paradise is like what is between Makka and Hajar, or like what is between Makka and Busra."
