I am Qutayba bin Saeed, on the authority of Ya’qub, on the authority of Amr, on the authority of Al-Araj, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Protest Adam and Moses, peace be upon them, and Moses said to him: O Adam, God created you with His hand, then He breathed into you of His Spirit, then He said to you: Be, and you were. He commanded the angels and they prostrated to you, then he said: Reside in Paradise, you and your wife, and eat from it freely wherever you wish, but do not approach this tree. So you will be among the wrongdoers. He forbade you from one tree, so you disobeyed your Lord. Then Adam said: O Moses, did you not know that God had decreed this for me before? To create me? The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: Adam and Moses performed Hajj. Adam and Moses performed Hajj.

میں قتیبہ بن سعید ہوں، یعقوب کی سند سے، عمرو کی سند سے، العرج کی سند سے، ابوہریرہ کی سند سے، کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: آدم اور موسیٰ علیہ السلام کے خلاف احتجاج کرو، موسیٰ نے ان سے کہا: اے آدم، پھر اللہ نے اپنے ہاتھ سے تجھے پیدا فرمایا، پھر اس نے تجھے اپنے ہاتھ سے پیدا کیا۔ آپ نے فرشتوں کو حکم دیا کہ آپ اور آپ کی بیوی جنت میں رہو، لیکن اس درخت کے پاس نہ جاؤ، تو تم نے اپنے رب کی نافرمانی کی، آپ کیا اللہ نے مجھے یہ بات نہیں بتائی؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: آدم اور موسیٰ نے حج کیا۔
