Chapter of Za, those named Zakariyya: Zakariyya ibn Hamdawayh al-Baghdadi narrated to us, he said: Affan ibn Muslim narrated to us, he said: Hammam ibn Yahya narrated to us, from Qatadah, from Anas ibn Malik, he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: When one of you eats, let him lick his three fingers, for he does not know in which of them is blessing. None narrated this hadith from Qatadah except Hammam ibn Yahya; Affan is alone in it.

باب الزای، جن کا نام زکریا ہے: ہمیں زکریا بن حمدویہ بغدادی نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا: ہمیں عفان بن مسلم نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا: ہمیں ہمام بن یحیی نے بیان کیا، وہ قتادہ سے، وہ انس بن مالک سے، انہوں نے کہا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جب تم میں سے کوئی کھائے تو اپنی تین انگلیاں چاٹے، کیونکہ وہ نہیں جانتا ان میں سے کس میں برکت ہے۔ یہ حدیث قتادہ سے ہمام بن یحیی کے سوا کسی نے روایت نہیں کی؛ اس میں عفان منفرد ہیں۔
