1278 - Yahya ibn Isma'il Abu Zakariyya al-Baghdadi narrated to us, he said: Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us, he said: Zayd ibn al-Hubab narrated to us, he said: al-Dahhak ibn Uthman narrated to us, he said: Bukayr ibn al-Ashajj narrated to me, from Sulayman ibn Yasar, from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to recite in Maghrib the short Mufassal.

1278 - ہمیں یحییٰ بن اسماعیل ابوزکریا بغدادی نے حدیث بیان کی، کہا: ہمیں ابوبکر بن ابی شیبہ نے حدیث بیان کی، کہا: ہمیں زید بن حباب نے حدیث بیان کی، کہا: ہمیں ضحاک بن عثمان نے حدیث بیان کی، کہا: مجھے بکیر بن اشج نے حدیث بیان کی، سلیمان بن یسار سے، ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے، کہا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم مغرب میں قصار مفصل پڑھتے تھے۔

1279 - Rawh ibn al-Faraj narrated to us, he said: Abu Mus'ab narrated to us, he said: al-Mughirah ibn Abd al-Rahman al-Makhzumi narrated to us, from al-Dahhak, from Bukayr, from Sulayman, from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), he said: I have not seen anyone more resembling the prayer of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) than so-and-so. Bukayr said: I asked Sulayman - and he had met that man - and he said: He used to recite in Maghrib the short Mufassal.

1279 - ہمیں روح بن فرج نے حدیث بیان کی، کہا: ہمیں ابومصعب نے حدیث بیان کی، کہا: ہمیں مغیرہ بن عبدالرحمٰن مخزومی نے حدیث بیان کی، ضحاک سے، بکیر سے، سلیمان سے، ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے، کہا: میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی نماز سے زیادہ مشابہ کسی کو فلاں سے بڑھ کر نہیں دیکھا۔ بکیر نے کہا: میں نے سلیمان سے پوچھا - اور انہوں نے اس شخص کو پایا تھا - تو کہا: وہ مغرب میں قصار مفصل پڑھتے تھے۔

1280 - Ali ibn Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, he said: Sa'id ibn Abi Maryam narrated to us, he said: Uthman ibn Miktal informed us, from al-Dahhak, then he mentioned with its chain the like of it. So this Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) informed from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that he used to recite in the Maghrib prayer the short Mufassal. If we carry the hadith of Jubayr and the reports we reported with it as our opponent carried it, those reports contradict this hadith of Abu Hurayrah; and if we carry them as we mentioned, they agree with this hadith. And it is more fitting for us to carry the reports upon agreement, not contradiction. So it is established by what we mentioned that what should be recited in the Maghrib prayer is the short Mufassal, and this is the view of Abu Hanifah, Abu Yusuf and Muhammad - may Allah the Exalted have mercy on them. And the like of that was reported from Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him).

1280 - ہمیں علی بن عبدالرحمٰن نے حدیث بیان کی، کہا: ہمیں سعید بن ابی مریم نے حدیث بیان کی، کہا: ہمیں عثمان بن مکتل نے خبر دی، ضحاک سے، پھر اسی سند سے اسی جیسی حدیث ذکر کی۔ تو یہ ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے خبر دی کہ آپ مغرب کی نماز میں قصار مفصل پڑھتے تھے۔ اگر ہم جبیر کی حدیث اور اس کے ساتھ مروی آثار کو اسی پر محمول کریں جس پر ہمارا مخالف محمول کرتا ہے، تو وہ آثار ابوہریرہ کی اس حدیث کے مخالف ہوں گے، اور اگر ہم انہیں مذکورہ پر محمول کریں تو وہ اس حدیث کے موافق ہوں گے۔ اور ہمارے لیے اولیٰ ہے کہ آثار کو اتفاق پر محمول کریں نہ کہ تضاد پر۔ تو مذکورہ سے ثابت ہوا کہ مغرب کی نماز میں جس چیز کی قراءت ہونی چاہیے وہ قصار مفصل ہے، اور یہ ابوحنیفہ اور ابویوسف اور محمد رحمہم اللہ تعالیٰ کا قول ہے۔ اور اسی جیسی روایت عمر بن خطاب رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے۔
