Yaqoub bin Ibrahim Al-Dawraqi told us, Abd al-Rahman bin Mahdi told us, Qurrah told us, on the authority of Abu al-Zubayr, Abu Tufayl told us, Muadh bin Jabal narrated to us, saying: “The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, gathered together on a journey that he traveled, and that was in the Battle of Tabuk, so he gathered the Dhuhr And the afternoon, and between the sunset and the evening.” He said: I said: What motivated him to do that? He said: He wanted not to embarrass his nation. Yaqoub Al-Dawraqi told us, Abd al-Rahman told us, Qurrah told us, on the authority of Abu al-Zubayr, on the authority of Sa`id bin Jubayr, on the authority of Ibn Abbas, in a similar way.

سیدنا معاذ بن جبل رضی اللہ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے غزوہ تبوک کے سفر میں نمازیں جمع کرکے ادا کیں، لہٰذا آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے نماز ظہر اور عصر، نماز مغرب اور عشاء کو جمع کر کے پڑھا ـ (جناب ابوالطفیل) کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے دریافت کیا، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایسے کیوں کیا؟ تو سیدنا معاذ رضی اللہ عنہ نے جواب دیا کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اپنی اُمّت کو تنگی اور مشقّت میں نہیں ڈالنا چاہتے تھے ـ
