Chapter: Mentioning the evidence that the Prophet's (peace be upon him) ghusl after fainting was not an obligatory ghusl

Muhammad bin Rafi’ told us, Abdul Razzaq told us, Muammar informed us, on the authority of Al-Zuhri, on the authority of Urwa or Amra, on the authority of Aisha, may God Almighty be pleased with her. On her authority, she said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said during his illness in which he died: “They poured on me seven sacrifices whose vessels were not permissible. “Perhaps I will rest and be with the people.” Aisha said: “So we made him sit in a copper basin made of copper, and we poured water over him from them until He started indicating to us that we had done so, then he left. Muhammad bin Yahya related it to us, and said: I heard Abd al-Razzaq mention it, on the authority of Muammar, on the authority of al-Zuhri, on the authority of Urwa, on the authority of Aisha. Likewise, except that he did not say: “of copper” when he made the hadith undoubtedly narrated on the authority of Urwa.

سیدہ عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا بیان فرماتی ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اپنی اس بیماری میں جس میں آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم فوت ہو گئے تھے، فرمایا: ”مُجھ پر سات مشکیزوں سے پانی ڈالو جن کے سر بندھن کھولے نہ گئے ہوں۔ شاید کہ میں سکون پاؤں تو لوگوں کو وصیت کروں۔“ سیدہ عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا فرماتی ہیں کہ تو ہم نے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو سیدہ حفصہ رضی اللہ عنہا کے تانبے کے ٹب میں بٹھایا اور ان مشکیزوں میں سے پانی آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم پرڈالا حتیٰ کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اشارہ کرنے لگے کہ تم نے تعمیل ارشاد کردی ہے۔ (یعنی رُک جاؤ) پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم باہر تشریف لےگئے، اما م صاحب اپنے استاد محمد بن یحییٰ سے سیدہ عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا ہی سے مذکورہ بالا روایت بیان کرتے ہیں مگر اُنہوں نے «من نحاس» ”پیتل کا ٹب“ نہیں کہا، لیکن اُنہوں نے یہ روایت بیشک حضرت عروہ ہی سے بیان کی ہے۔ (جبکہ پچھلی سند میں عروہ یا عمرہ سے بیان کیا تھا)۔
