Muhammad bin Bashshar narrated to us, saying: Yahya bin Sa'id narrated to us, saying: Ja'far narrated to us, saying: My father narrated to me, saying: We went to Jabir bin Abdullah (RA) and asked him about the Hajj of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). He said: He stood at Muzdalifah and said, "I stood here, and all of Muzdalifah is a place of standing (Mawqif)."

حضرت جعفر بن محمد اپنے والد گرامی سے بیان کرتے ہیں، وہ فرماتے ہیں کہ ہم سیدنا جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہما کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوئے تو ہم نے اُن سے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے حج کے بارے میں سوال کیا تو اُنھوں نے فرمایا کہ آپ نے مزدلفہ میں وقوف کیا اور فرمایا: ”میں اس جگہ ٹھہرا ہوں اور مزدلفہ سارا ہی ٹھہرنے کی جگہ ہے۔“

Narrated to us Abdullah bin Sa'id Al-Ashaj, who said: Narrated to us Hafs (meaning Ibn Ghiyath), on the authority of Ja'far, from his father, from Jabir (RA), who said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) stopped at Jam' (Muzdalifah) and said, "All of Jam' is a place of standing (Mawqif)."
