Ziyad bin Ayyub narrated to us, Ismail bin Aliya narrated to us, Ayyoub narrated to us, and Ma’mal bin Hisham narrated to us, Ismail narrated to us, on the authority of Ayyub, On the authority of Muhammad ibn Sirin, on the authority of Amr ibn Wahb, he said: We were with Al-Mughirah ibn Shu’bah, and he was asked: “Is she the mother of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace?” Did anyone from this nation other than Abu Bakr say: Yes, we were with the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, on a journey, so he mentioned the length of the hadith, and they said: Then We rode and the people overtook us. Abd al-Rahman bin Awf came forward and led them in one rak’ah, and he was in the second rak’ah. I went to call him to prayer and he forbade me. So we prayed the rak’ah that we had overtaken the one that preceded us, and Ma’mal said: And we performed the one that preceded us.”

جناب عمرو بن وہب بیان کرتے ہیں کہ ہم سیدنا مغیرہ بن شعبہ رضی اللہ عنہ کی خدمت میں حاضر تھے تو اُن سے پوچھا گیا، کیا اس اُمّت میں سے سیدنا ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ کے علاوہ بھی کسی شخص نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی امامت کرائی ہے۔ اُنہوں نے فرمایا کہ ہاں، ہم نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ ایک سفر میں تھے، پھر مکمّل حدیث بیان کی۔ امام صاحب کے دونوں اساتذہ کرام یہ بیان کرتے ہیں، پھر ہم سوار ہوئے (اور واپس آئے) تو ہم نے دیکھا کہ سیدنا عبدالرحمان بن عوف رضی اللہ عنہ لوگوں کو امامت کرارہے تھے، ایک رکعت پڑھا چکے تھے اور دوسری رکعت پڑھا رہے تھے میں نے انہیں (نبی کریم کی آمد کی) اطلاع دینی چاہی تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مجھے منع کر دیا۔ تو ہم نے جو رکعت (اُن کے ساتھ) پالی وہ ادا کرلی اور جو فوت ہو گئی تھی وہ مکمّل کرلی۔ جناب مؤمل کی روایت میں ہے کہ جو رکعت رہ گئی تھی ہم نے وہ مکمّل کرلی۔

On the authority of Ali bin Hajar, on the authority of Ismail, on the authority of Al-Ala, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “If Prayer is rewarded, so do not go to it while you are running, but go to it and rest in peace. Whatever you catch up with, pray, and whatever you miss, complete it, for he is one of you If he intends to pray, then he is in prayer.”

سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اﷲ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اﷲ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ” جب نماز کے لئے اقامت کہہ دی جائے تو تم نماز کے لئے دوڑتے ہوئے مت آؤ، بلکہ سکون و اطمینان کے ساتھ نماز کے لئے آؤ، جو نماز تمہیں مل جائے وہ پڑھ لو اور جو تم سے فوت ہو جائے اسے مکمّل کرلو، کیونکہ تم میں سے کوئی شخص جب نماز کا ارادہ کرتا ہے تو وہ نماز کی حالت میں ہوجاتا ہے۔
