4674 - Khalid ibn Yusuf ibn Khalid narrated to us, he said: my father narrated to us, he said: Jafar ibn Sad narrated to us, he said: Khubayb ibn Sulayman narrated to us, from his father Sulayman ibn Samura, from Samura ibn Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to forbid the owner of palm trees to take on debt against the fruit of his palms until some of its fruit was eaten, fearing he would take on much debt and then the fruit would spoil; and he used to forbid the owner of crops to take on debt against his crop until it reached harvest.
