He said: If you were pleased with him, we are pleased. He said: So he married her. Then the people of Madinah were alarmed for battle; Julaybib rode out and they found him killed, with around him as many polytheists as Allah willed whom he had killed. He said: The believer is rewarded for guiding to the path and removing harm from the road; he is rewarded for expressing in his tongue on behalf of the non-Arab; he is rewarded for coming to his wife; even he is rewarded for a commodity at the edge of his garment which he feels, ties its place, or a phrase like it, so his heart throbs for it, then Allah returns it to him and records its reward for him. A Bedouin man came and said: Our messenger came to us informing us that you claim Allah sent you. He said: He spoke truth. He said: Who created the heaven? He said: Allah. He said: Who created the earth? He said: Allah. He said: Who erected the mountains? He said: Allah. He said: Who placed benefits in them? He said: Allah. Then he said: O Muhammad, what is faith? He said: Faith in Allah, the Last Day, the angels, the Book, the prophets, death, resurrection, reckoning, Paradise, Hell, and the decree, all of it. He said: If I do that, am I a believer? He said: Yes. He said: You spoke truth. He said: O Muhammad, what is excellence? He said: To fear Allah as if you see Him, for if you do not see Him, He sees you. He said: If I do that, am I excellent? He said: Yes. He said: You spoke truth. He said: O Muhammad, when is the Hour? He said: The one asked about it knows no more than the asker. The man turned away and left. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to his Companions: Bring me the man. They followed seeking him but saw nothing. They returned to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah, we followed the man seeking him but saw nothing. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: That was Gabriel; he came to teach you your religion. This hadith we do not know to be reported from Anas except through this channel with this chain; ad-Dahhak ibn Nibras reported more than one hadith from Thabit, there is no harm in him, though strange among the hadith of Anas.

So it was opened for us, and there I was with Ibrahim, peace be upon him, and he was leaning against al-Bayt al-Ma'mur, and he welcomed me and supplicated good for me, and seventy thousand angels enter it - meaning al-Bayt al-Ma'mur - then they do not return to it. Then he took me to Sidrat al-Muntaha, and its leaves were like the ears of elephants, and its fruits like large jars. When there covered it of the command of Allah what covered it, it changed, and no one of Allah's creation can describe it for its beauty. So He revealed to me what He revealed, and obligated upon me fifty prayers in every day and night. So I descended until I reached Musa, and he said: What did your Lord obligate upon your ummah? I said: Fifty prayers in every day and night. He said: Return to your Lord and ask Him for lightening, for your ummah cannot bear that, and I have tested the Children of Isra'il and experienced them. He said: So I returned to my Lord the Blessed and Exalted, and said: My Lord, lighten for my ummah. So He removed five from me. He said: Then I returned to Musa, and he said: What did you do? I said: He removed five from me. He said: Your ummah cannot bear that, so return to your Lord and ask Him for lightening for your ummah. I kept returning between my Lord and Musa, He removing five, until He said: O Muhammad, they are five prayers in every day and night, with every prayer ten, so those are fifty prayers. And whoever intends a good deed and does not do it, a good deed is written for him; if he does it, ten are written for him. And whoever intends an evil deed and does not do it, nothing is written; if he does it, one evil deed is written. He said: So I descended until I reached Musa, peace be upon him, and informed him of that, and he said: Return to your Lord and ask Him for lightening. I said: I have returned to my Lord until I am ashamed.

۶۹۶۴ - محمد بن معمر نے ہم سے بیان کیا، روح بن اسلم نے ہم سے بیان کیا - ان کی وفات قریب دو سو ہجری میں ہوئی اور وہ ثقہ ہیں - حماد نے ہم سے بیان کیا، ثابت بنانی سے، انس بن مالک سے: کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: میرے پاس براق لایا گیا، وہ سفید جانور ہے، گدھے سے اوپر اور خچر سے نیچے، اپنا سم اپنی نظر کی انتہا پر رکھتا ہے۔ فرمایا: میں اس پر سوار ہوا اور وہ مجھے لے کر چلا یہاں تک کہ میں بیت المقدس کے دروازے پر آیا، میں نے سواری کو اس حلقے سے باندھا جس سے انبیاء باندھتے ہیں۔ فرمایا: پھر میں مسجد میں داخل ہوا اور اس میں دو رکعتیں پڑھیں، پھر باہر آیا، جبریل علیہ السلام میرے پاس شراب کا برتن اور دودھ کا برتن لے کر آئے، میں نے دودھ اختیار کیا، جبریل نے کہا: تم نے فطرت کو پا لیا۔ پھر وہ ہمیں دنیا کے آسمان کی طرف لے کر چڑھے، جبریل علیہ السلام نے دروازہ کھلوایا، کہا گیا: تم کون ہو؟ کہا: میں جبریل ہوں۔ کہا گیا: تمہارے ساتھ کون ہے؟ کہا: محمد۔ کہا: کیا انہیں بلایا گیا ہے؟ کہا: انہیں بلایا گیا ہے۔ فرمایا: ہمارے لیے کھول دیا گیا، میں آدم کے پاس تھا، انہوں نے مجھے خوش آمدید کہا اور میرے لیے بھلائی کی دعا کی۔ پھر وہ ہمیں دوسرے آسمان کی طرف لے کر چڑھے، جبریل نے دروازہ کھلوایا۔ کہا گیا: تم کون ہو؟ کہا: میں جبریل ہوں۔ کہا گیا: تمہارے ساتھ کون ہے؟ کہا: محمد۔ کہا: کیا انہیں بلایا گیا ہے؟ کہا: انہیں بلایا گیا ہے۔ فرمایا: ہمارے لیے کھول دیا گیا، میں خالہ زاد بھائیوں عیسیٰ اور یحییٰ کے پاس تھا، انہوں نے مجھے خوش آمدید کہا اور میرے لیے بھلائی کی دعا کی۔ پھر وہ ہمیں تیسرے آسمان کی طرف لے کر چڑھے، جبریل نے دروازہ کھلوایا، کہا گیا: تم کون ہو؟ کہا: جبریل۔ کہا گیا: تمہارے ساتھ کون ہے؟ کہا: محمد۔ کہا گیا: کیا انہیں بلایا گیا ہے؟ کہا: انہیں بلایا گیا ہے۔ ہمارے لیے کھول دیا گیا، میں یوسف کے پاس تھا، انہیں آدھا حسن دیا گیا تھا، انہوں نے مجھے خوش آمدید کہا اور میرے لیے بھلائی کی دعا کی۔ پھر وہ ہمیں چوتھے آسمان کی طرف لے کر چڑھے، جبریل نے دروازہ کھلوایا۔ کہا گیا: تم کون ہو؟ کہا: جبریل۔ کہا گیا: تمہارے ساتھ کون ہے؟ کہا: محمد۔ کہا گیا: کیا انہیں بلایا گیا ہے؟ کہا: انہیں بلایا گیا ہے۔ فرمایا: ہمارے لیے کھول دیا گیا، میں ادریس کے پاس تھا، انہوں نے مجھے خوش آمدید کہا اور میرے لیے بھلائی کی دعا کی۔ پھر فرمایا: اللہ تبارک و تعالیٰ فرماتا ہے: اور ہم نے انہیں بلند مقام پر اٹھایا۔ فرمایا: پھر وہ ہمیں پانچویں آسمان کی طرف لے کر چڑھے، جبریل نے دروازہ کھلوایا، کہا گیا: تم کون ہو؟ کہا: جبریل۔ کہا گیا: تمہارے ساتھ کون ہے؟ کہا: محمد۔ کہا گیا: کیا انہیں بلایا گیا ہے؟ کہا: انہیں بلایا گیا ہے۔ فرمایا: ہمارے لیے کھول دیا گیا، میں ہارون کے پاس تھا، انہوں نے مجھے خوش آمدید کہا اور میرے لیے بھلائی کی دعا کی۔ پھر وہ ہمیں چھٹے آسمان کی طرف لے کر چڑھے، جبریل نے دروازہ کھلوایا۔ کہا گیا: تم کون ہو؟ کہا: جبریل۔ کہا گیا: تمہارے ساتھ کون ہے؟ کہا: محمد صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم۔ کہا گیا: کیا انہیں بلایا گیا ہے؟ کہا: انہیں بلایا گیا ہے۔ ہمارے لیے کھول دیا گیا، میں موسیٰ علیہ السلام کے پاس تھا، انہوں نے مجھے خوش آمدید کہا اور بھلائی کی دعا کی۔ پھر وہ ہمیں ساتویں آسمان کی طرف لے کر چڑھے، جبریل نے دروازہ کھلوایا، کہا گیا: تم کون ہو؟ کہا: جبریل۔ کہا گیا: تمہارے ساتھ کون ہے؟ کہا: محمد۔ کہا گیا: کیا انہیں بلایا گیا ہے؟ کہا: انہیں بلایا گیا ہے۔ ہمارے لیے کھول دیا گیا، میں ابراہیم علیہ السلام کے پاس تھا، وہ بیت المعمور سے ٹیک لگائے تھے، انہوں نے مجھے خوش آمدید کہا اور میرے لیے بھلائی کی دعا کی، اس میں - یعنی بیت المعمور میں - ستر ہزار فرشتے داخل ہوتے ہیں، پھر وہ اس کی طرف لوٹتے نہیں۔ پھر وہ مجھے سدرۃ المنتہیٰ کی طرف لے گئے، اس کے پتے ہاتھیوں کے کانوں جیسے تھے، اور اس کے پھل بڑے مٹکوں جیسے تھے۔ جب اسے اللہ کے حکم میں سے جس نے ڈھانپا، وہ بدل گئی، اللہ کی مخلوق میں سے کوئی اسے اس کے حسن کی وجہ سے بیان نہیں کر سکتا۔ مجھ پر جو وحی کی وہ کی، اور مجھ پر ہر دن رات میں پچاس نمازیں فرض کیں۔ میں اترا یہاں تک کہ موسیٰ کے پاس پہنچا، انہوں نے کہا: تمہارے رب نے تمہاری امت پر کیا فرض کیا؟ میں نے کہا: ہر دن رات میں پچاس نمازیں۔ انہوں نے کہا: اپنے رب کی طرف لوٹو اور اس سے تخفیف مانگو، تمہاری امت اس کی طاقت نہیں رکھتی، میں بنی اسرائیل کو آزما چکا اور ان کا تجربہ رکھتا ہوں۔ فرمایا: میں اپنے رب تبارک و تعالیٰ کی طرف لوٹا، میں نے کہا: اے رب! میری امت پر تخفیف فرما۔ مجھ سے پانچ کم کر دیں۔ فرمایا: پھر میں موسیٰ کی طرف لوٹا، انہوں نے کہا: تم نے کیا کیا؟ میں نے کہا: مجھ سے پانچ کم کر دیں۔ انہوں نے کہا: تمہاری امت اس کی طاقت نہیں رکھتی، اپنے رب کی طرف لوٹو اور اپنی امت کے لیے تخفیف مانگو۔ میں اپنے رب اور موسیٰ کے درمیان آتا جاتا رہا، پانچ کم کرتے، یہاں تک کہ فرمایا: اے محمد! وہ ہر دن رات میں پانچ نمازیں ہیں، ہر نماز کے بدلے دس، تو وہ پچاس نمازیں ہیں۔ جو نیکی کا ارادہ کرے اور اسے نہ کرے، اس کے لیے ایک نیکی لکھی جاتی ہے، اگر اسے کرے تو اس کے لیے دس لکھی جاتی ہیں۔ جو برائی کا ارادہ کرے اور اسے نہ کرے، کچھ نہیں لکھا جاتا، اگر اسے کرے تو ایک برائی لکھی جاتی ہے۔ فرمایا: میں اترا یہاں تک کہ موسیٰ علیہ السلام کے پاس پہنچا اور انہیں اس کی خبر دی، انہوں نے کہا: اپنے رب کی طرف لوٹو اور اس سے تخفیف مانگو۔ میں نے کہا: میں اپنے رب کی طرف لوٹتا رہا یہاں تک کہ مجھے شرم آ گئی۔

6965 - Muhammad ibn Ma'mar narrated to us, Rawh ibn Aslam narrated to us, Hammad ibn Salamah informed us, Thabit informed us, from Anas: that a comer came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) while he was playing with the boys, so he took him and threw him down, and split his chest, and took out the heart, and split the heart, and took out of it a clot, and said: This is the share of Satan from you. Then he washed it in a basin of gold with Zamzam water, then joined it and returned it to its place. The boys came running to his mother and said: Muhammad has been killed. She came and met them while he was pale in colour. Anas said: I used to see the trace of the stitching in his chest.

۶۹۶۵ - محمد بن معمر نے ہم سے بیان کیا، روح بن اسلم نے ہم سے بیان کیا، حماد بن سلمہ نے ہمیں بتایا، ثابت نے ہمیں بتایا، انس سے: کہ نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس ایک آنے والا آیا جب آپ لڑکوں کے ساتھ کھیل رہے تھے، اس نے آپ کو پکڑا اور گرا دیا، آپ کا سینہ چاک کیا، دل نکالا، دل چاک کیا، اس میں سے ایک لوتھڑا نکالا، کہا: یہ تم سے شیطان کا حصہ ہے۔ پھر اسے سونے کے طشت میں زمزم کے پانی سے دھویا، پھر اسے جوڑا اور اسے اس کی جگہ لوٹا دیا۔ لڑکے آپ کی والدہ کی طرف دوڑتے آئے اور کہا: محمد قتل کر دیے گئے۔ وہ آئیں اور ان سے ملیں جب آپ کا رنگ متغیر تھا۔ انس نے کہا: میں آپ کے سینے میں ٹانکے کا نشان دیکھتا تھا۔
