Khalid al-Hadhdha from Abu Qilabah. 6786 - Amr ibn Ali narrated to us; Abd al-Wahhab narrated to us; Khalid al-Hadhdha narrated to us, from Abu Qilabah, from Anas, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: The most merciful of my nation to my nation is Abu Bakr; and the firmest of them in the religion of Allah is Umar; and the most truthful of them in modesty is Uthman; and the most knowledgeable of them in the lawful and unlawful is Mu'adh ibn Jabal. And every nation has a trustworthy one, and the trustworthy one of this nation is Abu Ubaydah ibn al-Jarrah. And this hadith, more than one narrated it from Khalid al-Hadhdha, from Abu Qilabah, from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), that he said: The most merciful of my nation. And he mentioned the hadith until it became: And every nation has a trustworthy one. Then he mentioned this place from Anas, from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and the rest of the speech from Abu Qilabah, mursal. And Abd al-Wahhab made all the speech from Anas entirely. And al-Thawri followed Abd al-Wahhab in this narration: Qabisah narrated it from al-Thawri, from Khalid and Asim.

6787 - Muhammad ibn Umar ibn Hayyaj narrated it to us; Qabisah ibn Uqbah narrated to us; Sufyan narrated to us, from Khalid and Asim, from Abu Qilabah, from Anas, from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), he said: The most merciful of my nation to my nation is Abu Bakr; and the firmest of them in the religion of Allah is Umar; and the most modest is Uthman; and the most knowledgeable of them in the lawful and unlawful is Mu'adh ibn Jabal; and the best reciter of them is Zayd ibn Thabit. And every nation has a trustworthy one, and the trustworthy one of this nation is Abu Ubaydah ibn al-Jarrah. And this hadith, we do not know of anyone who narrated it from Asim, from Abu Qilabah, from Anas, except Sufyan.

And other than Yahya ibn Adam narrated it from al-Thawri, from Khalid, from Abu Na'amah, from Anas.
