عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : مَنْ مَاتَ لَيْلَةَ الْجُمُعَةِ ، أَوْ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ ، بَرِئَ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْقَبْرِ " ، أَوْ قَالَ : " وُقِيَ فِتْنَةَ الْقَبْرِ ، وَكُتِبَ شَهِيَدًا "

EnglishUnverified translation

From Ibn Jurayj, from a man, from Ibn Shihab, that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Whoever dies on Friday night or Friday day is cleared of the trial of the grave - or he said - protected from the trial of the grave, and written a martyr.

From Ibn Jurayj, from a man, from al-Muttalib ibn Abdullah ibn Hantab, from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) likewise.

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ الأَعْرَابِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَعْقُوبَ إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبَّادٍ الدَّبَرِيُّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ عَطَاءً عَنِ الصَّلاةِ قَبْلَ خُرُوجِ الإِمَامِ مِنْ يَوْمِ الْفِطْرِ ، قَالَ إِذَا طَلَعَتِ الشَّمْسُ فَصَلِّ "، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي حَسَنُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ : " أَنَّ مُجَاهِدًا كَانَ يُصَلِّي بَيْنَهُمَا "

Abu Sa'id Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Ziyad al-A'rabi reported to us, he said: Abu Ya'qub Ishaq ibn Ibrahim ibn Abbad al-Dabari narrated to us from Ibn Jurayj, he said: I asked Ata about the prayer before the imam comes out on Fitr day. He said: When the sun has risen, then pray. From Ibn Jurayj, he said: Hasan ibn Muslim informed me that Mujahid used to pray between them.
