ہم سے قتیبہ بن سعید نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا: میں حمید بن عبدالرحمٰن ہوں، سلمہ بن نبی کی سند سے، نعیم کی سند سے، نبی کی سند سے، وہ سلیم بن عبید سے، انہوں نے کہا: اور وہ اہل صفہ میں سے تھے، انہوں نے کہا: انصار نے کہا: ہم میں سے ایک سردار اور عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: تم میں سے دو سردار ہیں۔ ایک میان میں، تو انہوں نے صلح نہیں کی، پھر اس نے ابوبکر کا ہاتھ پکڑا اور کہا: یہ تینوں کس کے پاس ہیں جب اس نے اپنے دوست سے کہا: اس کا دوست کون ہے؟ جب وہ غار میں تھے وہ کون ہیں؟ بے شک اللہ ہمارے ساتھ ہے۔ کس کے ساتھ؟ پھر آپ نے ان سے بیعت کی، پھر فرمایا: بیعت کرو، تو لوگوں نے بہترین اور خوبصورت بیعت کی۔
