Abdah ibn Abi Lubabah, from Warrad freedman of al-Mughirah, from al-Mughirah. 924 - Ishaq ibn Ibrahim al-Dabari narrated to us, from Abd al-Razzaq, from Ibn Jurayj, Abdah ibn Abi Lubabah informed me, that Warrad, freedman of al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah, informed him, that al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah wrote to Mu'awiyah - Warrad wrote that letter for him -: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say when he greets: There is no god but Allah alone without partner, to Him belongs dominion and to Him belongs praise, and He is over all things Powerful. O Allah, none withholds what Thou givest, none gives what Thou withholdest, and the fortune of the fortunate avails him not against Thee.

عبدہ بن ابی لبابہ، وراد مولیٰ مغیرہ سے، مغیرہ سے۔ 924 - ہم سے اسحاق بن ابراہیم دبری نے بیان کیا، عبدالرزاق سے، ابن جریج سے، مجھے عبدہ بن ابی لبابہ نے خبر دی کہ وراد مولیٰ مغیرہ بن شعبہ نے انہیں خبر دی کہ مغیرہ بن شعبہ نے معاویہ کو لکھا - وراد نے وہ خط ان کے لیے لکھا -: میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو سلام پھیرتے وقت کہتے سنا: لا الہ الا اللہ وحدہ لا شریک لہ، لہ الملک ولہ الحمد، وہو علی کل شیء قدیر۔ اے اللہ، جو تو دے اسے کوئی روکنے والا نہیں، جو تو روکے اسے کوئی دینے والا نہیں، اور مالدار کو اس کی مالداری تیرے مقابل کام نہ آئے گی۔
