He pulled it with a strong pull until he cut the cord and said: The family of Abdullah is free of any need for shirk. Then he said: Love-spells, amulets, and incantations are indeed shirk. A woman said: One of us complains of her head and seeks incantation, and when she is treated she thinks it benefited her. Abdullah said: Satan comes to one of you and prods her head; when she seeks incantation he withdraws, and when she does not seek incantation he pricks. If one of you would call for water and sprinkle it on her head and face, then say: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, then recite: {Say: He is Allah, the One}, and {Say: I seek refuge with the Lord of the daybreak}, and {Say: I seek refuge with the Lord of mankind}, it would benefit her, if Allah wills.
