آخَرُ 275 - أَخْبَرَنَا الْإِمَامُ أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ - بِنَيْسَابُورَ - أَنَّ وَجِيهَ بْنَ طَاهِرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الشَّحَّامِيَّ أَخْبَرَهُمْ - قِرَاءَةً عَلَيْهِ - أَبْنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْأَزْهَرِيُّ ، أَبْنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ حَمْدُونَ ، أَبْنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ الشَّرْقِيِّ ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ خَالِدِ بْنِ فَارِسٍ الذُّهْلِيُّ ( ح ) . 276 - وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ نَصْرٍ - بِأَصْبَهَانَ - أَنَّ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتَ عَبْدِ اللهِ أَخْبَرَتْهُمْ ، أَبْنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رِيذَةَ ، أَبْنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، ثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ قَالَا : ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ حَمْزَةَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ ، ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ وَاثِلَةَ ، [8/232] أَنَّ رَجُلًا مَرَّ عَلَى قَوْمٍ فِي حَيَاةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ - صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَسَلَّمَ عَلَيْهِمْ ، فَرَدُّوا عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامَ ، فَلَمَّا جَاوَزَهُمْ ، قَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ : وَاللهِ إِنِّي لَأُبْغِضُ هَذَا لِلهِ ، فَقَالَ أَهْلُ الْمَجْلِسِ : وَاللهِ لَبِئْسَ مَا قُلْتَ ، وَاللهِ لَنُنَبِّئَنَّهُ ، قُمْ يَا فُلَانُ - لِرَجُلٍ مِنْهُمْ - فَأَدْرِكْهُ فَأَخْبِرْهُ بِمَا قَالَ هَذَا الرَّجُلُ ، فَأَدْرَكَهُ رَسُولُهُمْ فَأَخْبَرَهُ بِمَا قَالَ الرَّجُلُ ، فَانْصَرَفَ الرَّجُلُ ثُمَّ أَتَى رَسُولَ اللهِ - صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَرَرْتُ بِمَجْلِسٍ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ فِيهِمْ فُلَانٌ ، فَسَلَّمْتُ عَلَيْهِمْ فَرَدُّوا السَّلَامَ ، فَلَمَّا جَاوَزْتُهُمْ أَدْرَكَنِي رَجُلٌ مِنْهُمْ فَقَالَ : إِنَّ فُلَانًا قَالَ : وَاللهِ إِنِّي لَأُبْغِضُ هَذَا الرَّجُلَ فِي اللهِ ، فَادْعُهُ فَسَلْهُ عَلَى مَا يُبْغِضُنِي ؟ فَدَعَاهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ - صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَسَأَلَهُ عَمَّا أَخْبَرَهُ الرَّجُلُ فَاعْتَرَفَ بِذَلِكَ وَقَالَ : قَدْ قُلْتُ لَهُ ذَلِكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ - صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : ( فَلِمَ تُبْغِضُهُ ؟ ) قَالَ : أَنَا جَارُهُ ، وَأَنَا بِهِ خَابِرٌ ، وَاللهِ مَا رَأَيْتُهُ يُصَلِّي صَلَاةً قَطُّ إِلَّا هَذِهِ الْمَكْتُوبَةَ ، قَالَ الرَّجُلُ : سَلْهُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ هَلْ رَآنِي قَطُّ أَخَّرْتُهَا عَنْ وَقْتِهَا ؟ أَوْ أَسَأْتُ الْوُضُوءَ لَهَا ، أَوْ أَسَأْتُ الرُّكُوعَ لَهَا أَوِ السُّجُودَ ؟ فَسَأَلَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ - صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - عَنْ ذَلِكَ ، قَالَ : لَا وَاللهِ مَا رَأَيْتُهُ يَصُومُ يَوْمًا قَطُّ إِلَّا هَذَا الشَّهْرَ الَّذِي يَصُومُهُ الْبَرُّ وَالْفَاجِرُ ، قَالَ الرَّجُلُ : فَسَلْهُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ هَلْ رَآنِي قَدْ أَفْطَرْتُ فِيهِ ، أَوْ نْقَصْتُ مِنْ حَقِّهِ شَيْئًا ؟ قَالَ : فَسَأَلَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ - صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَقَالَ : لَا ، فَقَالَ : وَاللهِ مَا رَأَيْتُهُ قَطُّ يُعْطِي سَائِلًا وَلَا مِسْكِينًا شَيْئًا قَطُّ ، وَلَا رَأَيْتُهُ يُنْفِقُ مِنْ مَالِهِ نَفَقَةً فِي شَيْءٍ مِنْ سُبُلِ الْخَيْرِ إِلَّا هَذِهِ الصَّدَقَةَ الَّتِي يُؤَدِّيهَا الْبَرُّ وَالْفَاجِرُ ، قَالَ : فَسَلْهُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ هَلْ كَتَمْتُ مِنَ الزَّكَاةِ شَيْئًا قَطُّ ، أَوْ مَاكَسْتُ فِيهَا طَالِبَهَا الَّذِي يَسْأَلُهَا ؟ فَسَأَلَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ - صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ : لَا ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ - صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : ( قُمْ ، إِنْ أَدْرِي لَعَلَّهُ خَيْرٌ مِنْكَ ) . لَفْظُ حَدِيثِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى وَمَا خَالَفَ فِي رِوَايَةِ الطَّبَرَانِيِّ ، عَنْ [8/233] عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ كُتِبَ عَلَيْهِ ( ط ) وَمَا نَقَصَ كُتِبَ عَلَيْهِ : لَا إِلَى . 277 - قَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى : ثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، نَحْوَهُ ، وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ عَامِرَ بْنَ وَاثِلَةَ . رَوَاهُ الْإِمَامُ أَحْمَدُ ، عَنْ أَبِي كَامِلٍ مُظَفَّرِ بْنِ مُدْرِكٍ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ بِإِسْنَادِهِ بِطُولِهِ . وَقَالَ الْإِمَامُ أَحْمَدُ : ثَنَاهُ يَعْقُوبُ ، ثَنَا أَبِي ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ : أَنَّهُ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ رَجُلًا فِي حَيَاةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ - صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - مَرَّ عَلَى قَوْمٍ ... وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ أَبَا الطُّفَيْلِ . قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ : بَلَغَنِي أَنَّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ حَدَّثَ بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ مِنْ حِفْظِهِ فَقَالَ : عَنْ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ ، وَحَدَّثَ بِهِ ابْنُهُ يَعْقُوبُ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، فَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ أَبَا الطُّفَيْلِ ، فَأَحْسَبُهُ وَهِمَ ، وَالصَّحِيحُ رِوَايَةُ يَعْقُوبَ ، وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ . سُئِلَ عَنْهُ الدَّارَقُطْنِيُّ فَقَالَ : رَوَاهُ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ ، وَخَالَفَهُ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ الْقُرَشِيُّ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَزِيرَةِ ، فَرَوَاهُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، وَخَالَفَهُمَا مَعْمَرٌ وَغَيْرُهُ ، فَرَوَوْهُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، مُرْسَلًا ، وَهُوَ الْمَحْفُوظُ .

Another 275 - Imam Abu Bakr al-Qasim ibn Abdillah ibn Umar ibn Ahmad - at Naysabur - informed us, that Wajih ibn Tahir ibn Muhammad al-Shahhami informed them - recitation to him - Ahmad ibn al-Hasan al-Azhari informed us, Muhammad ibn Abdillah ibn Hamdun informed us, Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn al-Hasan ibn al-Sharqi informed us, Muhammad ibn Yahya ibn Abdillah ibn Khalid ibn Faris al-Dhuhli narrated to us. (Ha). 276 - And Abu Jafar Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn Nasr - at Asbahan - informed us, that Fatimah bint Abdillah informed them, Muhammad ibn Ridhah informed us, Sulayman ibn Ahmad al-Tabarani informed us, Ali ibn Abd al-Aziz narrated to us, they said: Ibrahim ibn Hamzah al-Zubayri narrated to us, Ibrahim ibn Sad narrated to us, from Ibn Shihab, from Amir ibn Wathilah, that a man passed by people in the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and greeted them, and they returned the greeting. When he passed them, a man of the people said: By Allah, I hate this man for Allah. The gathering people said: By Allah, evil is what you said; by Allah we shall tell him. Stand, O so-and-so - to a man of them - catch him and tell him what this man said. So their messenger caught him and told him what the man said. So the man turned and came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah, I passed by a gathering of Muslims among them so-and-so, and I greeted them and they returned the greeting. When I passed them a man of them caught me and said: So-and-so said: By Allah, I hate this man for Allah, so call him and ask him why he hates me? So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) called him and asked him about what the man told him, so he admitted it and said: I said that to him, O Messenger of Allah. So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Why do you hate him? He said: I am his neighbor and I know him well; by Allah I never saw him pray any prayer but this prescribed one. The man said: Ask him, O Messenger of Allah, did he ever see me delay it past its time, or perform its ablution badly, or its bowing or prostration badly? So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked him about that. He said: No. By Allah, I never saw him fast any day but this month which the righteous and the wicked fast. The man said: Ask him, O Messenger of Allah, did he see me break fast in it or diminish any of its right? He said: So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked him, and he said: No. He said: By Allah, I never saw him give a beggar or poor person anything, nor saw him spend of his wealth in any path of good except this charity which the righteous and wicked give. He said: Ask him, O Messenger of Allah, did I ever conceal any of the zakat or bargain with its seeker who asks it? So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked him about that, and he said: No. So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Stand; I do not know, perhaps he is better than you. This is the wording of Muhammad ibn Yahya's hadith. 277 - Muhammad ibn Yahya said: Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, from Mamar, from al-Zuhri, similarly, without mentioning Amir ibn Wathilah. Imam Ahmad narrated it from Abu Kamil Muzaffar ibn Mudrik, from Ibrahim ibn Sad with its chain at length. And Imam Ahmad said: Yaqub narrated to us, my father narrated to us, from Ibn Shihab: that he informed him that a man in the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) passed by people... without mentioning Abu al-Tufayl. Abdullah ibn Ahmad said: It reached me that Ibrahim ibn Sad narrated this hadith from memory and said: From Abu al-Tufayl, while his son Yaqub narrated it from his father without mentioning Abu al-Tufayl, so I think he erred, and the correct is Yaqub's narration, and Allah knows best. Al-Daraqutni was asked about it and said: Ibrahim ibn Sad narrated it from al-Zuhri, from Abu al-Tufayl, while Ibrahim ibn Ziyad al-Qurashi of the Jazira opposed them and narrated it from al-Zuhri, from Anas ibn Malik, while Mamar and others opposed them and narrated it from al-Zuhri as mursal, and that is the preserved.
