Ayahs 41–50 of 128

41

وَٱلَّذِينَ هَاجَرُوا۟ فِى ٱللَّهِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا ظُلِمُوا۟ لَنُبَوِّئَنَّهُمْ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةًۭ ۖ وَلَأَجْرُ ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ أَكْبَرُ ۚ لَوْ كَانُوا۟ يَعْلَمُونَ

And those who emigrated for [the cause of] Allah after they had been wronged - We will surely settle them in this world in a good place; but the reward of the Hereafter is greater, if only they could know.

﴿لَنُبَوِّئَنَّهُمۡ﴾: لَنُنْزِلَنَّهم.

﴿حَسَنَةࣰ﴾: دارًا حسنةً، أو رزقًا واسعًا وعَيْشًا هنيئًا.

42

ٱلَّذِينَ صَبَرُوا۟ وَعَلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ

[They are] those who endured patiently and upon their Lord relied.

﴿يَتَوَكَّلُونَ﴾: يعتمدون عليه ويُفَوِّضُون أمرَهم إليه.

43

وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ إِلَّا رِجَالًۭا نُّوحِىٓ إِلَيْهِمْ ۚ فَسْـَٔلُوٓا۟ أَهْلَ ٱلذِّكْرِ إِن كُنتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ

And We sent not before you except men to whom We revealed [Our message]. So ask the people of the message if you do not know.

﴿أَهۡلَ ٱلذِّكۡرِ﴾: العلماءَ من أهلِ الكتبِ السابقةِ.

44

بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ وَٱلزُّبُرِ ۗ وَأَنزَلْنَآ إِلَيْكَ ٱلذِّكْرَ لِتُبَيِّنَ لِلنَّاسِ مَا نُزِّلَ إِلَيْهِمْ وَلَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ

[We sent them] with clear proofs and written ordinances. And We revealed to you the message that you may make clear to the people what was sent down to them and that they might give thought.

﴿بِٱلۡبَيِّنَـٰتِ﴾: وأرسَلْنا الرسلَ بالمعجزاتِ الواضحةِ الدالَّةِ على صِدْقِهم.

﴿وَٱلزُّبُرِ﴾: وبالكتبِ المنزَّلةِ، المتضمِّنةِ للشرائعِ.

﴿ٱلذِّكۡرَ﴾: القرآنَ؛ لما فيه من الموعظةِ والتنبيهِ.

45

أَفَأَمِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ مَكَرُوا۟ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ أَن يَخْسِفَ ٱللَّهُ بِهِمُ ٱلْأَرْضَ أَوْ يَأْتِيَهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ

Then, do those who have planned evil deeds feel secure that Allah will not cause the earth to swallow them or that the punishment will not come upon them from where they do not perceive?

﴿مَكَرُواْ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ﴾: دبَّروا المكايدَ بخَفاءٍ، وأشركوا مع اللهِ.

﴿يَخۡسِفَ﴾: يُغيِّبَ.

46

أَوْ يَأْخُذَهُمْ فِى تَقَلُّبِهِمْ فَمَا هُم بِمُعْجِزِينَ

Or that He would not seize them during their [usual] activity, and they could not cause failure?

﴿تَقَلُّبِهِمۡ﴾: أسفارِهم وتصرُّفِهم في أمورِهم.

﴿بِمُعۡجِزِينَ﴾: بفائتين اللهَ بالفِرارِ من عَذابِه.

47

أَوْ يَأْخُذَهُمْ عَلَىٰ تَخَوُّفٍۢ فَإِنَّ رَبَّكُمْ لَرَءُوفٌۭ رَّحِيمٌ

Or that He would not seize them gradually [in a state of dread]? But indeed, your Lord is Kind and Merciful.

﴿عَلَىٰ تَخَوُّفࣲ﴾: على تَنَقُّصٍ شيئًا فشيئًا في الأموالِ والأنفسِ والثمراتِ حتى يَهْلِكُوا، أو على مخافَةٍ من العَذابِ.

48

أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ إِلَىٰ مَا خَلَقَ ٱللَّهُ مِن شَىْءٍۢ يَتَفَيَّؤُا۟ ظِلَٰلُهُۥ عَنِ ٱلْيَمِينِ وَٱلشَّمَآئِلِ سُجَّدًۭا لِّلَّهِ وَهُمْ دَٰخِرُونَ

Have they not considered what things Allah has created? Their shadows incline to the right and to the left, prostrating to Allah, while they are humble.

﴿مِن شَيۡءࣲ﴾: أي: له ظِلٌّ، كالجبالِ والشجَرِ.

﴿يَتَفَيَّؤُاْ ظِلَـٰلُهُ﴾: يَميلُ ظِلُّ الأشياءِ وينتقلُ من جانبٍ إلى آخَر.

﴿سُجَّدࣰا لِّلَّهِ﴾: مُنْقادةً خاضعةً لعَظَمَةِ رِّبها، وتسخيرِه.

﴿دَ ٰ⁠خِرُونَ﴾: أذلّاءُ مُنقادُون لحُكم الله تعالى.

49

وَلِلَّهِ يَسْجُدُ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مِن دَآبَّةٍۢ وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ وَهُمْ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ

And to Allah prostrates whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth of creatures, and the angels [as well], and they are not arrogant.

﴿يَسۡجُدُ﴾: سجودَ طاعةٍ وعبادةٍ، أو سُجودَ تسخيرٍ وخضوعٍ.

﴿دَآبَّةࣲ﴾: كلِّ حَيَوانٍ يمشي -على هيئته- على الأرضِ.

50

يَخَافُونَ رَبَّهُم مِّن فَوْقِهِمْ وَيَفْعَلُونَ مَا يُؤْمَرُونَ ۩

They fear their Lord above them, and they do what they are commanded.
