سُورَةُ النَّحۡلِ
Reading Al-Muyassar fi Gharib al-Qur'an
Ayahs 121–128 of 128
شَاكِرًۭا لِّأَنْعُمِهِ ۚ ٱجْتَبَىٰهُ وَهَدَىٰهُ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍۢ مُّسْتَقِيمٍۢ
[He was] grateful for His favors. Allah chose him and guided him to a straight path.
﴿ٱجۡتَبَىٰهُ﴾: اختاره اللهُ لرسالتِه.
﴿وَهَدَىٰهُ﴾: أرْشَدَه ووَفَّقه.
وَءَاتَيْنَٰهُ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةًۭ ۖ وَإِنَّهُۥ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ لَمِنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ
And We gave him good in this world, and indeed, in the Hereafter he will be among the righteous.
﴿حَسَنَةࣰ﴾: نِعْمةً حسنةً، كالثَّناءِ الجميلِ عليه إلى يومِ القيامة، والاقتداءِ به.
ثُمَّ أَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَيْكَ أَنِ ٱتَّبِعْ مِلَّةَ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ حَنِيفًۭا ۖ وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ
Then We revealed to you, [O Muhammad], to follow the religion of Abraham, inclining toward truth; and he was not of those who associate with Allah.
﴿مِلَّةَ إِبۡرَ ٰهِيمَ﴾: شريعتَه، وهي الإسلامُ.
إِنَّمَا جُعِلَ ٱلسَّبْتُ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ ٱخْتَلَفُوا۟ فِيهِ ۚ وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَيَحْكُمُ بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ فِيمَا كَانُوا۟ فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ
The sabbath was only appointed for those who differed over it. And indeed, your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that over which they used to differ.
﴿جُعِلَ ٱلسَّبۡتُ﴾: فُرِضَ تَعْظِيمُه والتفرُّغُ للعبادةِ فيه.
﴿ٱلَّذِينَ ٱخۡتَلَفُواْ فِيهِ﴾: هم اليهودُ، حيث أمَرَهم نبيُّهم بتعظيمِ يومِ الجُمُعَةِ، فاختاروا السَّبْتَ.
ٱدْعُ إِلَىٰ سَبِيلِ رَبِّكَ بِٱلْحِكْمَةِ وَٱلْمَوْعِظَةِ ٱلْحَسَنَةِ ۖ وَجَٰدِلْهُم بِٱلَّتِى هِىَ أَحْسَنُ ۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَن ضَلَّ عَن سَبِيلِهِۦ ۖ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِٱلْمُهْتَدِينَ
Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction, and argue with them in a way that is best. Indeed, your Lord is most knowing of who has strayed from His way, and He is most knowing of who is [rightly] guided.
﴿بِٱلۡحِكۡمَةِ﴾: بالطريقةِ الحَكِيمةِ وفْقَ شَرْعِ اللهِ.
﴿وَٱلۡمَوۡعِظَةِ ٱلۡحَسَنَةِ﴾: بالتذكيرِ المناسِبِ للأشخاصِ والأحوالِ.
وَإِنْ عَاقَبْتُمْ فَعَاقِبُوا۟ بِمِثْلِ مَا عُوقِبْتُم بِهِۦ ۖ وَلَئِن صَبَرْتُمْ لَهُوَ خَيْرٌۭ لِّلصَّٰبِرِينَ
And if you punish [an enemy, O believers], punish with an equivalent of that with which you were harmed. But if you are patient - it is better for those who are patient.
Explained together with ayah 125
وَٱصْبِرْ وَمَا صَبْرُكَ إِلَّا بِٱللَّهِ ۚ وَلَا تَحْزَنْ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا تَكُ فِى ضَيْقٍۢ مِّمَّا يَمْكُرُونَ
And be patient, [O Muhammad], and your patience is not but through Allah. And do not grieve over them and do not be in distress over what they conspire.
﴿ضَيۡقࣲ﴾: حَرَجٍ وغَمٍّ.
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ مَعَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّقَوا۟ وَّٱلَّذِينَ هُم مُّحْسِنُونَ
Indeed, Allah is with those who fear Him and those who are doers of good.
