On the authority of Abu Malik Al-Ash’ari, may Allah be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “Purity is half of faith” [Muslim]. It was previously mentioned at length in the chapter on patience. In the chapter is the hadith of Amr bin Absa, may Allah be pleased with him, which was mentioned earlier at the end of the chapter on hope, and it is a great hadith, containing a number of good deeds.

On the authority of Omar Ibn Al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, on the authority of the Prophet (ﷺ) he said: “None of you performs ablution and completes the ablution - or completes the ablution - and then says: I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone with no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger, except that the eight gates of Paradise will be opened for him and he may enter through whichever one he wishes” [Muslim]. Al-Tirmidhi added: “O Allah, make me one of those who repent and make me one of those who purify themselves.”

I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying, "When you hear the Adhan, repeat what the Mu'adhdhin says. Then ask Allah to exalt my mention because everyone who does so will receive in return ten rewards from Allah. Then beseech Allah to grant me Al-Wasilah, which is a high rank in Jannah, fitting for only one of Allah's slaves; and I hope that I will be that man. If any one asks Al-Wasilah for me, it becomes incumbent upon me to intercede for him." [Muslim]

Then Allah revealed this Ayah: "And perform the Salat, between the two ends of the day and in some hours of the night. Verily, the good deeds efface the evil deeds (i.e., minor sins)." If you are able not to neglect a prayer before the sun rises and before it sets, then do so” [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]. He was told: If you bought a donkey, you would ride it in the dark and in the rain. He said: I would not be happy if my house was next to the mosque. I want my walk to the mosque and my return to be recorded for me when I return to my family. So the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Allah has gathered.” All of that is yours.” [Muslim].

On the authority of Ibn Masoud, may Allah be pleased with him, he said: Whoever is pleased to meet Allah Almighty tomorrow in peace, let him observe these prayers wherever he calls them, for Allah has prescribed for your Prophet (ﷺ) the Sunnahs of guidance, and they are Sunnahs of guidance. If you had prayed in your homes as this person who lags behind in attending the congregation prays in his house, you would have abandoned the Sunnah of your Prophet, and if you had abandoned the Sunnah of your Prophet, you would have gone astray. We have seen that none abandon them except a known hypocrite. And a man would be brought to him, guided between two men until he was made to stand in the row.
