Ayahs 11–20 of 286

11

And when it is said to them, "Do not cause corruption on the earth," they say, "We are but reformers."

So ɓe kaɗaama bonnirde leydi ndi keefeeru e bakkatuuji e goɗɗi, ɓe caloo ɓe cikka ko kamɓe tigi ngoni moƴƴuɓe moƴƴinooɓe.

Al-Baqara 2:11Listen in Qur'an →
12

Unquestionably, it is they who are the corrupters, but they perceive [it] not.

Tawa noon ko kamɓe tigi ngoni bonnooɓe, kono tan ɓe tinataa ɗuum, ɓe tinataa ko golle maɓɓe ɗe tigi ngoni bonnere.

And when it is said to them, "Believe as the people have believed," they say, "Should we believe as the foolish have believed?" Unquestionably, it is they who are the foolish, but they know [it] not.

And when they meet those who believe, they say, "We believe"; but when they are alone with their evil ones, they say, "Indeed, we are with you; we were only mockers."

So ɓe kawrii e ɓeen goonɗinɓe ɓe mbi'a: min njaɓii ko ngoonɗin-ɗon ko, ɓe mbi'a noon sabu hulde goonɗinɓe ɓe, si ɓe njahii ɓe njeewdii e hooreeɓe maɓɓe ɓee, ɓe teentinana ɓe tabital e jokkude ɓe, e wiide ɓe: ko onon min ngondi e laawol mon, kono tan miɗen peññinana goonɗinɓe ɓen jaɓde amen, min njala ɓe min njalkita.

15

[But] Allah mocks them and prolongs them in their transgression [while] they wander blindly.

Those are the ones who have purchased error [in exchange] for guidance, so their transaction has brought no profit, nor were they guided.

Ko ɓeen ngoni naafigeeɓe siforɓe ɗi sifaaji sabu ɓe lomtinirii keefeeru liimanee gal, njulaagu maɓɓe alaa tono; sabu ɓe mbaasii goonɗingol Alla, ɓe peewaano e goonga on.

Their example is that of one who kindled a fire, but when it illuminated what was around him, Allah took away their light and left them in darkness [so] they could not see.

Deaf, dumb and blind - so they will not return [to the right path].

Kamɓe ko fahɗuɓe ɓe nanataa njaɓataa goonga, muumɗuɓe ɓe kaalataa mo, wumɓe ɓe nji'ataa mbo, ɓe nduttotaako gaa majjere maɓɓe.

Or [it is] like a rainstorm from the sky within which is darkness, thunder and lightning. They put their fingers in their ears against the thunderclaps in dread of death. But Allah is encompassing of the disbelievers.

So tawii ko yerɗinde ɓe e ndiyam: ɓe nanndi ko e toɓo mawngo, e duule niɓɓune e digaali e maje, ɗi jippii dow yimɓe ɗeñƴere mawnde heɓi ɓe, ɓe ngoni e sukkude noppi maɓɓe, sabu sattude kartaali ɗi e hulgol maayde, Alla na humpitii heeferɓe ɓen O ronkantaa ɓe.

The lightning almost snatches away their sight. Every time it lights [the way] for them, they walk therein; but when darkness comes over them, they stand [still]. And if Allah had willed, He could have taken away their hearing and their sight. Indeed, Allah is over all things competent.

Jalbugol maje ɗe na ɗeɓa ɗoofde gite maɓɓe, kala nde majal yaynii ɓe njawta, so ngal yaynaaki ɓe keddoo e niɓɓere, ɓe njahataa, so Alla welano itta nanɗe e gite maɓɓe e kattanɗe Makko kuɓtidinɗe, ɓe ngontaa heɓtude ɗe, sabu ɗuurnaade ɓe goonga o.
