سُورَةُ الرَّعۡدِ
Reading Al-Muyassar fi Gharib al-Qur'an
Ayahs 1–10 of 43
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
الٓمٓر ۚ تِلْكَ ءَايَٰتُ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ ۗ وَٱلَّذِىٓ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ ٱلْحَقُّ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
Alif, Lam, Meem, Ra. These are the verses of the Book; and what has been revealed to you from your Lord is the truth, but most of the people do not believe.

ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى رَفَعَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ بِغَيْرِ عَمَدٍۢ تَرَوْنَهَا ۖ ثُمَّ ٱسْتَوَىٰ عَلَى ٱلْعَرْشِ ۖ وَسَخَّرَ ٱلشَّمْسَ وَٱلْقَمَرَ ۖ كُلٌّۭ يَجْرِى لِأَجَلٍۢ مُّسَمًّۭى ۚ يُدَبِّرُ ٱلْأَمْرَ يُفَصِّلُ ٱلْءَايَٰتِ لَعَلَّكُم بِلِقَآءِ رَبِّكُمْ تُوقِنُونَ
It is Allah who erected the heavens without pillars that you [can] see; then He established Himself above the Throne and made subject the sun and the moon, each running [its course] for a specified term. He arranges [each] matter; He details the signs that you may, of the meeting with your Lord, be certain.
﴿بِغَيۡرِ عَمَدࣲ﴾: بغيرِ دَعائمَ.
﴿تَرَوۡنَهَا﴾: كما تَرَوْنَ خَلْقَ السمواتِ البديعَ.
﴿ٱسۡتَوَىٰ﴾: علا وارتفعَ، استواءً يليقُ بجَلالِه وعَظَمتِه.
﴿ٱلۡعَرۡشِ﴾: سريرِ المُلْكِ الذي استوى عليه الرحمنُ، وتَحملُه الملائكةُ، وهو أعظمُ المخلوقاتِ، وهو سَقْفُ الجنةِ.
﴿وَسَخَّرَ ٱلشَّمۡسَ وَٱلۡقَمَرَ﴾: ذلَّلهما لمنافعِ الخَلْقِ ومصالِحهِم.
﴿يُدَبِّرُ ٱلۡأَمۡرَ﴾: يَقضي أمورَ الدنيا والآخرةِ، ويُصَرِّفها وحدَه على أكملِ الوجوهِ.
﴿يُفَصِّلُ ٱلۡـَٔايَـٰتِ﴾: يُبَيِّنُ دَلائلَ وحدانيتِه وقُدْرَتِه.
وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى مَدَّ ٱلْأَرْضَ وَجَعَلَ فِيهَا رَوَٰسِىَ وَأَنْهَٰرًۭا ۖ وَمِن كُلِّ ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ جَعَلَ فِيهَا زَوْجَيْنِ ٱثْنَيْنِ ۖ يُغْشِى ٱلَّيْلَ ٱلنَّهَارَ ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَٰتٍۢ لِّقَوْمٍۢ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ
And it is He who spread the earth and placed therein firmly set mountains and rivers; and from all of the fruits He made therein two mates; He causes the night to cover the day. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought.
﴿مَدَّ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ﴾: بَسَطَها، وهَيَّأها للاستقرارِ والعيشِ فيها.
﴿رَوَ ٰسِيَ﴾: جبالًا تُثبِّتُها؛ لئلا تضطرِبَ.
﴿زَوۡجَيۡنِ﴾: صِنْفَين في اللونِ، أو الطَّعْم، أو القَدْرِ، ونحوِها.
﴿يُغۡشِي ٱلَّيۡلَ ٱلنَّهَارَ﴾: يجعلُ الليلَ يُغَطِّي النَّهارَ ويَسْتُره بظُلْمتِه، بإدخالِه على النَّهارِ، أو العكس.
وَفِى ٱلْأَرْضِ قِطَعٌۭ مُّتَجَٰوِرَٰتٌۭ وَجَنَّٰتٌۭ مِّنْ أَعْنَٰبٍۢ وَزَرْعٌۭ وَنَخِيلٌۭ صِنْوَانٌۭ وَغَيْرُ صِنْوَانٍۢ يُسْقَىٰ بِمَآءٍۢ وَٰحِدٍۢ وَنُفَضِّلُ بَعْضَهَا عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍۢ فِى ٱلْأُكُلِ ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَٰتٍۢ لِّقَوْمٍۢ يَعْقِلُونَ
And within the land are neighboring plots and gardens of grapevines and crops and palm trees, [growing] several from a root or otherwise, watered with one water; but We make some of them exceed others in [quality of] fruit. Indeed in that are signs for a people who reason.
﴿قِطَعࣱ﴾: بقاعٌ مختلفةٌ في الأوصافِ والأحوالِ.
﴿وَجَنَّـٰتࣱ﴾: بساتينُ.
﴿وَنَخِيلࣱ صِنۡوَانࣱ﴾: النخيلُ المتفرعُ الذي يجمَعُه أصلٌ ومَنبَتٌ واحدٌ.
۞ وَإِن تَعْجَبْ فَعَجَبٌۭ قَوْلُهُمْ أَءِذَا كُنَّا تُرَٰبًا أَءِنَّا لَفِى خَلْقٍۢ جَدِيدٍ ۗ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِرَبِّهِمْ ۖ وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلْأَغْلَٰلُ فِىٓ أَعْنَاقِهِمْ ۖ وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلنَّارِ ۖ هُمْ فِيهَا خَٰلِدُونَ
And if you are astonished, [O Muhammad] - then astonishing is their saying, "When we are dust, will we indeed be [brought] into a new creation?" Those are the ones who have disbelieved in their Lord, and those will have shackles upon their necks, and those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide therein eternally.
﴿وَإِن تَعۡجَبۡ﴾: أي: من عَدَمِ إيمانِ الكفّار.
﴿ٱلۡأَغۡلَـٰلُ﴾: جَمْعُ غُلٍّ، وهو الطَّوقُ، أو القيدُ يُقَيَّدُ به، فيُجْعَلُ العُنُقُ في وسَطِه.
وَيَسْتَعْجِلُونَكَ بِٱلسَّيِّئَةِ قَبْلَ ٱلْحَسَنَةِ وَقَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِهِمُ ٱلْمَثُلَٰتُ ۗ وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَذُو مَغْفِرَةٍۢ لِّلنَّاسِ عَلَىٰ ظُلْمِهِمْ ۖ وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَشَدِيدُ ٱلْعِقَابِ
They impatiently urge you to bring about evil before good, while there has already occurred before them similar punishments [to what they demand]. And indeed, your Lord is full of forgiveness for the people despite their wrongdoing, and indeed, your Lord is severe in penalty.
﴿خَلَتۡ﴾: مَضَتْ.
﴿ٱلۡمَثُلَـٰتُ﴾: جَمْعُ مَثُلَة، وهي عقوباتُ اللهِ التي تكونُ مَثَلًا يَرْدَعُ.
وَيَقُولُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَوْلَآ أُنزِلَ عَلَيْهِ ءَايَةٌۭ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦٓ ۗ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُنذِرٌۭ ۖ وَلِكُلِّ قَوْمٍ هَادٍ
And those who disbelieved say, "Why has a sign not been sent down to him from his Lord?" You are only a warner, and for every people is a guide.
﴿لَوۡلَآ﴾: هَلّا.
﴿ءَايَةࣱ﴾: مُعْجِزَةٌ محسوسةٌ، كناقةِ صالحٍ.
﴿هَادٍ﴾: داعٍ يرشُدُهم، وهو نبيُّهم.
ٱللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا تَحْمِلُ كُلُّ أُنثَىٰ وَمَا تَغِيضُ ٱلْأَرْحَامُ وَمَا تَزْدَادُ ۖ وَكُلُّ شَىْءٍ عِندَهُۥ بِمِقْدَارٍ
Allah knows what every female carries and what the wombs lose [prematurely] or exceed. And everything with Him is by due measure.
﴿وَمَا تَغِيضُ ٱلۡأَرۡحَامُ﴾: ما تَنْقُصُه قبلَ اكتمالِ الحَمْلِ في بِنْيتِه أو مُدَّتِه، أو ما تُسْقِطُه ميتًا.
﴿وَمَا تَزۡدَادُ﴾: ما يَزْدادُه الحَمْلُ في جِسْمِه، أو مُدَّتِه، أو عَدَدِه.
﴿بِمِقۡدَارٍ﴾: بقَدْرٍ عندَ اللهِ لا يتعدّاه ولا يَنْقُصُ عنه.
عَٰلِمُ ٱلْغَيْبِ وَٱلشَّهَٰدَةِ ٱلْكَبِيرُ ٱلْمُتَعَالِ
[He is] Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, the Grand, the Exalted.
﴿ٱلۡغَيۡبِ﴾: ما خَفِيَ عن الأبصارِ والحواسِّ.
﴿وَٱلشَّهَـٰدَةِ﴾: ما هو مشاهَدٌ وحاضِرٌ.
﴿ٱلۡكَبِيرُ﴾: في ذاتِه وأسمائِه وصفاتِه.
﴿ٱلۡمُتَعَالِ﴾: المُسْتَعْلي على جميعِ خَلْقِه بذاتِه وقُدْرتِه وقَهْرِه.
سَوَآءٌۭ مِّنكُم مَّنْ أَسَرَّ ٱلْقَوْلَ وَمَن جَهَرَ بِهِۦ وَمَنْ هُوَ مُسْتَخْفٍۭ بِٱلَّيْلِ وَسَارِبٌۢ بِٱلنَّهَارِ
It is the same [to Him] concerning you whether one conceals [his] speech or one publicizes it and whether one is hidden by night or conspicuous [among others] by day.
﴿سَوَآءࣱ﴾: يستوي في عِلْمِ اللهِ تعالى.
﴿مَّنۡ أَسَرَّ ٱلۡقَوۡلَ﴾: الذي أخفاه.
﴿مُسۡتَخۡفِۭ بِٱلَّيۡلِ﴾: مُسْتَتِرٌ بأعمالِه في ظُلْمَةِ الليلِ عن الأَعْيُنِ.
﴿وَسَارِبُۢ بِٱلنَّهَارِ﴾: ذاهبٌ في طريقِه وعَمَلِه نهارًا يُبْصِرُه كلُّ أحدٍ.
