The book of mortgaging in places occupied by settled population.

(1) CHAPTER. The mortgaging in places occupied by settled population and the Statement of Allah: And if you are on a journey and cannot find a scribe, then let there be pledge taken (i.e., mortgaging)… (V.2:283)

آدمی اپنی بستی میں ہو اور گروی رکھے

یہود وغیرہ کے پاس کوئی چیز گروی رکھنا

بَابُ الرَّهْنِ عِنْدَ اليَهُودِ وَغَيْرِهِمْ

(6) CHAPTER. If a dispute arises between the mortgagor and mortgagee, a proof is to be provided by plaintiff, otherwise the defendant has to take an oath (if he insists on denying the plaintiff's claim).

راہن اور مرتہن میں اگر کسی بات پر اختلاف ہو جائے یا ان کی طرح دوسرے لوگوں میں تو گواہی پیش کرنا مدعی کے ذمہ ہے ، ورنہ ( منکر ) مدعیٰ عل یہ سے قسم لی جائے گی

بَابُ إِذَا اخْتَلَفَ الرَّاهِنُ وَالمُرْتَهِنُ وَنَحْوُهُ، فَالْبَيِّنَةُ عَلَى المُدَّعِي، وَاليَمِينُ عَلَى المُدَّعَى عَلَيْهِ
