The book of al-istisqa.

(1) CHAPTER. Al-Istisqa and the going out of the Prophet to offer Istisqa prayer.

پانی مانگنا اور نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا پانی کے لیے ( جنگل میں ) نکلنا

بَابُ الِاسْتِسْقَاءِ وَخُرُوجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي الِاسْتِسْقَاءِ

(2) CHAPTER. Invocation of the Prophet : O Allah! Send (drought-famine) years on them (pagans of Makkah) like the (drought-famine) years of (Prophet) Yusuf (Joseph).

نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا قریش کے کافروں پر بددعا کرناکہ الٰہی ان کے سال ایسے کر دے جیسے یوسف علیہ السلام کے سال ( قحط ) کے گزرے ہیں

بَابُ دُعَاءِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ : «اجْعَلْهَا عَلَيْهِمْ سِنِينَ كَسِنِي يُوسُفَ»

(3) CHAPTER. Request of the people to the Imam to offer the Istisqa prayer and invoke Allah for rain during drought.

قحط کے وقت لوگ امام سے پانی کی دعا کرنے کے لیے کہہ سکتے ہیں

بَابُ سُؤَالِ النَّاسِ الإِمَامَ الِاسْتِسْقَاءَ إِذَا قَحَطُوا

(4) CHAPTER. Turning one's cloak inside out while offering the Istisqa prayer.

استسقاء میں چادر الٹنا

بَابُ تَحْوِيلِ الرِّدَاءِ فِي الِاسْتِسْقَاءِ

(6) CHAPTER. Istisqa (i.e. to offer a two Raka Salat (prayer) and then invoke Allah for rain) in the main mosque (of the town).

جامع مسجد میں استسقاء یعنی پانی کی دعا کرنا

بَابُ الِاسْتِسْقَاءِ فِی المَسْجِدِ الجَامِعِ

(7) CHAPTER. To invoke Allah for rain in the Khutba of Friday facing a direction other than the Qiblah.

جمعہ کا خطبہ پڑھتے وقت جب منہ قبلہ کی طرف نہ ہو پانی کے لیے دعا کرنا

بَابُ الِاسْتِسْقَاءِ فِي خُطْبَةِ الجُمُعَةِ غَيْرَ مُسْتَقْبِلِ القِبْلَةِ

(8) CHAPTER. Istisqa (to invoke Allah for the rain) on the pulpit.

منبر پر پانی کے لیے دعا کرنا

بَابُ الِاسْتِسْقَاءِ عَلَى المِنْبَرِ

(9) CHAPTER. Whoever thought it sufficient to invoke Allah for rain in the Salat-ul-Jumuah (Jumuah prayer).

پانی کی دعا کرنے میں جمعہ کی نماز کو کافی سمجھنا ( یعنی علیحدہ استسقاء کی نماز نہ پڑھنا اور اس کی نیت کرنا یہ بھی استسقاء کی ایک شکل ہے )

بَابُ مَنِ اكْتَفَى بِصَلاَةِ الجُمُعَةِ فِي الِاسْتِسْقَاءِ

(10) CHAPTER. Invocation (for stoppage of rain) if the roads are cut off because of excessive rain.

اگر بارش کی کثرت سے راستے بند ہو جائیں تو پانی تھمنے کی دعا کر سکتے ہیں

بَابُ الدُّعَاءِ إِذَا تَقَطَّعَتِ السُّبُلُ مِنْ كَثْرَةِ المَطَرِ

(11) CHAPTER. The saying that “The Prophet did not turn his cloak inside out during the invocation for rain on Friday.”

جب نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے جمعہ کے دن مسجد ہی میں پانی کی دعا کی تو چادر نہیں الٹائی

بَابُ مَا قِيلَ: «إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ لَمْ يُحَوِّلْ رِدَاءَهُ فِي الِاسْتِسْقَاءِ يَوْمَ الجُمُعَةِ»

(12) CHAPTER. If the people request the Imam to invoke Allah for rain, the Imam should not refuse the request.

جب لوگ امام سے دعائے استسقاء کی درخواست کریں تو رد نہ کرئے ۔

بَابُ إِذَا اسْتَشْفَعُوا إِلَى الإِمَامِ لِيَسْتَسْقِيَ لَهُمْ لَمْ يَرُدَّهُمْ

(13) CHAPTER. If Al-Mushrikun [polytheists, pagans, idolaters, and disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah and in His Messenger Muhammad ] intercede the Muslims to invoke Allah for rain during drought.

اس بارے میں کہ اگر قحط میں مشرکین مسلمانوں سے دعا کی درخواست کریں ؟

بَابُ إِذَا اسْتَشْفَعَ المُشْرِكُونَ بِالْمُسْلِمِينَ عِنْدَ القَحْطِ

(14) CHAPTER. To say, “Around us and not on us,” when it rains excessively.

جب بارش حد سے زیادہ ہو تو اس بات کی دعا کہ ہمارے یہاں بارش بند ہو جائے اور اردگرد برسے

بَابُ الدُّعَاءِ إِذَا كَثُرَ المَطَرُ حَوَالَيْنَا وَلاَ عَلَيْنَا

(15) CHAPTER. To invoke Allah for rain while standing.

استسقاء میں کھڑے ہو کر خطبہ میں دعا مانگنا

بَابُ الدُّعَاءِ فِي الِاسْتِسْقَاءِ قَائِمًا

(16) CHAPTER. To recite aloud while offering the prayer of Istisqa.

استسقاء کی نماز میں بلند آواز سے قرآت کرنا

بَابُ الجَهْرِ بِالقِرَاءَةِ فِي الِاسْتِسْقَاءِ

(17) CHAPTER. How the Prophet turned his back towards the people [while offering the SaIat (prayer) for rain].

استسقاء میں نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے لوگوں کی طرف پشت مبارک کس طرح موڑی تھی ؟

بَابٌ كَيْفَ حَوَّلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ ظَهْرَهُ إِلَى النَّاسِ

(18) CHAPTER. The Salat-ul-Istisqa (Istisqa prayer) consists of two Raka.

استسقاء کی نماز دو رکعتیں پڑھنا

بَابُ صَلاَةِ الِاسْتِسْقَاءِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ

(19) CHAPTER. To offer the Istisqa prayer at the Musalla.

عیدگاہ میں بارش کی دعا کرنا

(20) CHAPTER. Facing the Qiblah while offering the Istisqa prayer.

استسقاء میں قبلہ کی طرف منہ کرنا

بَابُ اسْتِقْبَالِ القِبْلَةِ فِي الِاسْتِسْقَاءِ

(21) CHAPTER. While offering the Istisqa prayer, people should raise their hands (for invocation) along with the Imam.

استسقاء میں امام کے ساتھ لوگوں کا بھی ہا تھ اٹھانا

بَابُ رَفْعِ النَّاسِ أَيْدِيَهُمْ مَعَ الإِمَامِ فِي الِاسْتِسْقَاءِ

(22) CHAPTER. The raising of both hands by the Imam during Istisqa while invoking Allah for rain.

امام کا استسقاء میں دعا کے لیے ہاتھ اٹھانا

بَابُ رَفْعِ الإِمَامِ يَدَهُ فِي الِاسْتِسْقَاءِ

(23) CHAPTER. What should be said (or what to say) if it rains.

مینہ برستے وقت کیا کہے

بَابُ مَا يُقَالُ إِذَا مَطَرَتْ

(24) CHAPTER. One who stood in the rain till the water started trickling down his beard.

اس شخص کے بارے میں جو بارش میں قصداً اتنی دیر ٹھہرا کہ بارش سے اس کی داڑھی ( بھیگ گئی اور اس ) سے پانی بہنے لگا

بَابُ مَنْ تَمَطَّرَ فِي المَطَرِ حَتَّى يَتَحَادَرَ عَلَى لِحْيَتِهِ

(25) CHAPTER. If the wind blows (what should one do or say?).

جب ہوا چلتی

بَابُ إِذَا هَبَّتِ الرِّيحُ

(26) CHAPTER. The statement of the Prophet : “I was granted victory with As-Saba [Easterly wind (which frightened my enemies)].”

نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا یہ فرمان کہ پروا ہوا کے ذریعہ مجھے مدد پہنچائی گئی

بَابُ قَوْلِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ نُصِرْتُ بِالصَّبَا

(27) CHAPTER. What is said about earthquakes and (other) signs (of the approach of the Day of Judgement).

بھونچال اور قیامت کی نشانیوں کے بیان میں

بَابُ مَا قِيلَ فِي الزَّلاَزِلِ وَالآيَاتِ

(28) CHAPTER. The Statement of Allah: “And instead (of thanking Allah) for the provision He gives you, you deny (Him by disbelief). (V. 56.82)

اللہ تعالیٰ کے اس فرمان کی تشریح وتجعلون رزقکم انکم تکذبون

بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى وَتَجْعَلُونَ رِزْقَكُمْ أَنَّكُمْ تُكَذِّبُونَ

(29) CHAPTER. Except Allah nobody knows when it will rain.

اللہ تعالیٰ کے سوا اور کسی کو معلوم نہیں کہ بارش کب ہوگی

بَابُ: لاَ يَدْرِي مَتَى يَجِيءُ المَطَرُ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَقَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ: عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ: «خَمْسٌ لاَ يَعْلَمُهُنَّ إِلَّا اللَّهُ»
